What Happened to PG

Nurses make lousy patients! She will find a way to bail tomorrow. I would make book on that!:whistling:

Here PG something to cheer you up when you come back. :thumb:

Thanks a bunch all of you! :flowers::biggrin:

Thank you CG,Bobcat--- (you should work for the CIA, you know that? lol), Lilnixon,Muley, Lonzo and Foggy for your phone calls.
Sorry if I sounded off Foggy, that Dilaudid is some good stuff!

CG is correct, it was pancreatitis, pretty bad too.
Had an ERCP done on Tuesday afternoon at which time a stent was placed in the base of my pancreas to allow some of the stones to flush through.
Liquid diet, then allowed a soft diet, laparoscopic surgery yesterday around 11:30.
Apparently my gallbladder was so full of stones that they started escaping down, getting into the pancreatic duct. I didn't keep the stones that were in the gallbladder, but this little SOB was most likely the cause of a lot of my pain last week (saved from the endoscopy procedure ughh!)..

I am left with some beautiful sutures and steri strips, one in my belly button and three on various parts of my right side.
Maybe I'll take some pics of them later.

Gretch was thrilled to see me. The neighbours took good care of her.

I know Jerry, and I'm sorry.
It's a nice feeling knowing that we really are a family on here who care about one another.
Time for me to go have some lovey time with Gretchen and to rest.
xxxxoooo
Love you all :)

Geeze, with that stone, you could start your own quarry! Glad you are home and starting to heal!

Glad it all worked out. I would like to make you some lovely sticky buns or butter-cream topped cinnamon rolls...your choice. Let me know when the digestive tract is ready for them. There will be enough to put some in the freezer, unless you go on a binge and eat them all in one day.:yum:

Glad you're back with us PG! :tiphat: :flowers:

My wife had the same surgery in 1981. No laparoscopic surgery then, just a big knife!

She spent a week in the hospital recovering.

Joe, I'd love some more of your buns soon, they are the best!
I wasn't really given any specific diet to follow, but was told to go with common sense per my surgeon.
That means, nothing spicy, deep fried or overly sauced for a while.
So glad to have that damned thing out of me!

Here are some pics of the surgical sites, pretty, ain't they?:whistling:
My belly button isn't bleeding, that's a soaked steri strip and irritated skin surrounding, as I am allergic to most medical tape, especially paper tape..grrrrr

PG, the wounds look frightfully sore, and thank goodness that you didn't have to go under the knife, so to speak... was it awfully painful before you had to go into hospital? I mean, was pain an indication that you had these stones. It sounds like you had an awful lot of them; so glad to know that you are on the mend now. You take care! :flowers:

I've been following this thread but haven't contributed until now. You know it's not because I don't love you but because I'm generally shy and bashful when it comes ladies and their ailments. Get better soon. :flowers::flowers::flowers:
