Interesting poll here: http://io9.com/341945/which-dead-sci-fi-show-should-breathe-again

The writers strike will really start to take its toll on television this winter. Many fall shows won't ever wake up from the winter hibernation, and everyone will get sick of game shows and reality TV offerings. So, we've begun working on the io9 time circuits and blowing the dust out of our flux transistors (capacitors, what a joke). What television shows would you like to see return from the graveyard of canceled shows and appear back on TV with brand new episodes? Take a spin on the poll below and let us know.

After you vote it takes you to a results page. I was amazed when I saw the results.

I was hoping that "Lost in Space" was on the list, so they could leave that stupid Dr. Smith on some planet and get on with the space exploring stuff....:thumb:

No outerlimits or twilight zone.
Sad to say but the only show on the list I can remember ever seeing is Quantum leap.

Seems like there are quite a few shows that are missing from the list, but as a fan of FIREFLY even I was shocked with the results. And a couple of the shows on the list are shows that I am not familiar with at all. I did like Sliders, but wondered why LEXA is missing from the list (but did that series get cancelled or did it just end?). The website specifically asks about "cancelled" shows, so shows that simply ended after several seasons may not qualify for the list.

Here are the latest results.

Red Dwarf
Babylon Five
Ultraman

The first 3 or 4 seasons of Babylon 5 were awesome. It got pretty lame toward the end. Not sure how many seasons it ran in total but the last one or two didn't deserve to be aired. That said, I have season 1 on DVD!

I didn't say I was "1". I said "+1" to what was already said. In this case, plus one to your one.

RE: " ... and you picked my favorite space gal ... "

I think that she was my first TV crush. Of course, I was 6 and she was 22 back then -- a 16 year difference.

A few years later, I moved on to Barbara Eden from "I dream of Jeannie" ... I was 9 and she was 36 -- a 27 year difference. :pat:

Ah, yes. The Doctor and his sidekicks.
I was always fond of Leela for some reason...Guess it was the outfit.

Yeah that outfit was pretty nice. Alas her character was not too intelligent. I liked Romana because shes HOT and she was intelligent too. :coolshade

Sarah was my favorite Dr Who sidekick, followed by the first Romana (the tall Brunette Tom Baker actually married, which is part of why she was replaced by Lala Ward as the "same" person)

but when I saw the title for this thread, Firefly was the first thing that came to mind.
