HELP ME PLEASE!!! I"M HURTIN'

The best way to get over a 16 hour drunken state is not to drink in the first place. After not feeling well in the morning for a few years, I just lost the taste of liquor. Darn, I feel good every morning now.

Not much use for you today.

I know I know,,, shouldn't drink in the first place... I rarely drink more than 2-3 at a time and often go for months without drinking. Me and my wife only get out a couple times a year without the kids in tow. This weekend was the weekend. Everyone had a blast.

drink a quart of water & take 2 ibuprofen tablets - go back to sleep.
when you wake up to get rid of the first quart, repeat.
by noon you should be well on your way to eating again.
B complex vitamins help, too. (which is part of why scrambled eggs and toast with honey are good hangover food)

good luck.

Best bet is get outside in the cold air..... I just started bucking up next winters wood , chainsaw is a little loud but you are welcome to come over and pile for me:doh:

I read somewhere that banana shakes with honey are good for a hangover.

my head's hurtin and my world's spinnin

Lots of water. Will help clear the system, and will keep you hydrated. Hung over, and a bit dehydrated, and the world spins. Or, try Gatoraid/sport drink.

Kind of like when you are sick with the flu. get plenty of liquids.

Coffee is a diuretic. You'll be wide awake with your head spinning.

Sung to the tune of an old country western song;

Please help me, I'm hurtin'
Inside of my head
Put the cap back on the bottle
For I think I'm half dead;
For I spent way too long, Dear
At the bar and the grill
The room is-a spinnin'
But it sure ain't no thrilllllllll!

:whistling:

:yum: Sorry, I don't mean to make fun of your misery. :yum:

Awww! The hell I don't!!!! :yum:

I am in a similar state.... Not near as bad, but a little rough today... first "night out" for us since Halloween.... Fluids and more rest help the most. Thus far, fluids have not set well with me, but are now and rest is not on the schedule... I just have to tough this one out. I really want a nap though....

Durn fool!

But seriously, one more tip: avoid Tylenol. At prescription strength it is right up near the level that can damage your kidneys. Then alcohol intensifies this effect. You can feel it as lower back pain.

Alcohol + Tylenol is Not Recommended.

Start with getting a woman that physically likes you and go from there. (no fat chicks)

Got ya on that one....my wife fits that bill perfectly.

Man, it's going to take me weeks to collaborate all of the stories from all 35 of us that were in attendance this weekend to get a clear picture of all the happenings.

Our casino night on friday was a blast. Everyone had a great time. A drunken state of happiness was had by all who attended. We more than doubled last years amount of income brought in from this same event. The meeting on saturday went great. Some of the out of town guests at the meeting were quite intoxicated already by lunchtime as every time they spoke out of line or didn't address the chair properly, they had to pay a fine and take a shot of rye. We raised a fair amount of money this weekend. Our main goal is to provide support to children of the communities. Our main benefactor from the fundraising we do is to raise funds to go towards finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

The steak supper was great as was the dance(from the arts I can remember that is). After the dance was over, we headed back to our hall where we had a few more.

I'm still hurtin but not as bad as I thought I'd be as I didn't mix my drinks. Others weren't as fortunate. Some are still sleeping off the effects. We all had a great time.

Dear Lord! Did the person or place running this have insurance on the event? If that was done in Illinois, you would have needed a permit and 99.9% chance it would have never been approved. Good thing to raise money for but not a accepted way of raising it at all according to folks around here. There literally would have been people protesting it outside. :ermm:
Running, jogging, walking, dancing and dinners... all accepted ways of fund raising over here. No booze though.

participated in a casino night a few years back (buy monopoly $$ with real cash, get prizes at the end of the night with your "winnings" so it didn't count as gambling) - mixed in with a live action role play mystery (extra $$ from those who wanted to play)
I was a blackjack dealer. (cheap drunks don't tip well - even when it's just monopoly $$)
had lots of fun watching people get hammered and try to figure out "whodunnit".

At least you're hungover for charity, that's the good part. The bad part is, if you're anything like me these days, you're going to feel like s**t for a couple of days. That's why I quit doing it. :hammer::hammer::hammer:

Others gave the remedies that I use so I'll sip my glass of red wine tonight and think of you. Best of luck and I hope nobody took photos that you can't live with.

Just finished tallying up the $$ and we did good...real good! As far as pictures, I was well behaved from what I can remember and what I've been told buy the other guys. Can't say the same for a few of the other guys. It was a blast.

Eric.....that sounds very similar to how we did it. We don't gamble with actual money. It was all play money you get when you pay your entry fee. At the end, we had a bunch of donated prizes and held an auction for each prize that people bid on with their play money. It was great. I didn't drink the first night as I was a dealer at the blackjack table. Each table had 15 chairs. There were five tables. There was also a craps table and a wheel.
