What are you doing today, II

A couple of projects I wanted to get done. Plastic welded a big long crack in our garbage dumpster that has been getting larger and longer over the past few months. Fabricated up a water bottle holder for my Snapper rear engine riding lawn mower. The one I have didnt come with one and the option was not available for it. Took our mountain cur out for a walk on our empty lot across the street to survey my grass cutting job I did on it yesterday.

It's raining today. Thank goodness i finished the patio brick sanding yesterday.
Since I cannot do much in the muck outside today, I am stuck with doing a housewife day.
Vacuuming the whole house.
Orders from she who must be obeyed are to clean the bathrooms.
Crumpy knows that is my favorite job ,,,,NOT.
However, our guest children are gone for a few days so we will have some alone time tonite.
So, I'll do the bathrooms,,,, yeah,,,,you betcha!
If I do it right, it will put a smile on her face.
And later, maybe she can put one on mine.

Sexy glamor shot of the day while I rest at the beach

My OnlyFans page has more. . . :5boobs:

My Scag ZTR does not have a cup holder. Would you mind sharing a pic of your fabrication and how you mounted it? I'm looking for a solution for mine. I've had a water bottle rolling around at my feet for to long. LOL

I came home from camp bright and early this morning to help a buddy build his new deck. We've only got half framed so far building it in 2 12x12 ft sections. 3 of us working all day. I came home for supper then heading back if they're still working.

I came back after supper and helped finish off the framing. Tomorrow is hopefully the deck boards and railings.

Doc - both of your are rests are fuel tanks, right?
I'd look at a gyroscopic cup holder and mount it between your legs.

This is the kind I like/use: Ram mount. From that ball, you can mount to most anything (handlebars...). You would want the base for mounting the ball to flat steel.

Another option but it looks flimsy.

Finished the shell/roof of the pole building yesterday. Yea, I know it's not perfect. Raining today which is good as my body needs a break.
I'll do a little framing on the far end for firewood storage. Needs paint, electric, gutter, more gravel (or millings) and a few other things.
The best part of this building is I spent less than $200 building it. I only needed to buy (4) 12' 2x6, roofing screws, framing lag bolts and Sacrete. :) I had everything from the tin roof to the framing materials laying around.

I took the day off from outside work as we finally have much needed rain. It's been so dry this spring that I've been scared to fart outside. I did however go to the monthly legion breakfast that I clean up dishes at with my scout troop. I get a free breakfast out of it.

Didn't sleep much since getting home from work around 7am this morning.
Last night, everything that could possibly go wrong- DID!

Then, this morning Ty sends me this.
He had to go to the emergency room.
He was out on a tow when his nose started bleeding profusely.
It was a ruptured vessel in his nose.
Now he's sporting a tiny J-P drain for a few days.
My poor baby 😕

Thanks Zoom. Yep, gas tanks on both sides. And the seat adjustments with the shock / springs, and the way it lifts forward for battery access makes it impossible for mounting between the legs. And I don't want a cup holder on my control arms. My first Scag had two handy cup holders built in. This newer one doesn't for some reason. I suppose they were afraid of the operator drinking beer and having an accident and them being libel. .

My mower is different and the set up I made for mine will not work for yours. I have the Snapper Classic rear engine rider with the frame pipe running between the legs and it is not a zero turn. I mounted a a plastic container pop riveted to a large hose clamp that was then clamped around the pipe to hold a water bottle. It is just something I threw together on the spur of the moment.

My Jacobsen has a cup holder built into the fuel tank on the left side.

It rained most of the day yesterday and last night. We needed it. So no work on the deck at my buddy's place. It stopped this morning and apparently we're going to be at it again. We still have to finish framing and installing a couple support posts before laying down deck boards and building a set of stairs for it.

Can you glue a cup holder to the top of one of the fuel tanks?
I was thinking similar. The top of the tanks have controls there but I might try gluing a mount like you have to the side of the tank. The plastic is not a smooth surface but gorilla glue might do the trick.

Words of caution about mounting it to the side of the tank. Your beverage may get coated with grass clippings or muddy water coming off your rear tire.
Do you have a ROPS? If so, you could make or buy a bracket that squeezes on the ROPS to hold a cup holder. Maybe something that brings the bracket forward towards the operator area so you don't have to reach back.
