What are you doing today, II

I'm pretty pissed off.
I mentioned in a previous post that I flew down to FL to address a toilet plumbing drip from our place that's going into the condo below us. Don't want to ruin their place.
Just spent $1100 getting new toilets in place. When the neighbors below got home, I went down to listen for drops and had the Mrs in our condo flush the "dripping" toilet. I'm in the condo below and hear a noise but it doesn't sound like water hitting their drywall ceiling.
It's just NORMAL dripping noise from the pipes!!!
I was given the impression that it just started but the guy below said the noise has been there forever! GRRRRRR.

Good news is we have new "right height" toilets. No more sitting 12" off the floor when seated.
More pissed off.
The toilets are fine but I did have a loose connection awhile back on the clothes washer that did leak into their ceiling and cause damage.
Already said but I flew to FL to address all plumbing issues.
I went out today and bought everything to fix his damaged ceiling. Asked when he wants it fixed, he said not this week (I friggin flew to FL to fix this).
At this point, he's going to have to live with the hole in his ceiling and I may get to it this year. No more special flights for me to fix water issues.

More pissed off.
Neighbor went out to his heat pump to run a shop vac to clean out his drain line. Not sure what he did in the area but may have pinched or otherwise messed up some wiring so now we have no A/C. It's going to be 90 degrees today. :(

On a good note, on our way to Lowes yesterday, saw a SpaceX rocket launch right out our front windshield. :)

Heading out to mow. Rain most of the day yesterday, started drying up late. The lovely Mrs_Bob 'suggested' we depart for Florida so I need to get the grass mowed before we leave on Monday so we don't come home to a jungle.

Fencing this afternoon, so I have a time window to get the grass knocked into submission.

Yes, we have insurance on vehicles and homes.
Most policies come with a deductible. That's what the owner pays before the insurance starts paying out.
I think our condo policy is probably $500. Our homes and autos are probably $1000.

I woke up this morning at 6:00 AM shaking like a leaf in a hurricane. The house was at a pleasant 72% F but I was freezing cold.
My body temp was 104% F and everything hurt. This went on for two hours after which I was exhausted.
This has happened before and there is no explainable reason for it. It is a mystery I cannot fathom.
I wasn't interfacing with anyone but Crumpy for the last two days and she isn't sick.
Neither is anyone else in the household or the neighbors.
By 2:00 PM today I am over it and back to normal.
And now my Temp is less than 96F.

Weird.

Came out to camp for the first time for the weekend. Much needed. My wife has found herself "the" contact person and decision maker for her former mother in law who is in the hospital. Her husband has checked out. He's 75 and very eccentric. That leaves my wife handling all the decisions. Very stressful situation. She is at home but recognized that I also needed a break. I'm beat.

This church is one my first husband and our boys used to attend occasionally.
It's in Maria Stein, Ohio.
The cause of the horrible fire , I believe- was roofing repairs, soldering close to copper. I don't have an update on that at the moment.
Total loss.
The crucifix was untouched.

I've been at camp since yesterday afternoon. Now that all of the unpacking is done, I have been relaxing all day with my feet up. I did drive in to the nearest place that sells propane to exchange a couple of tanks about 20 minutes drive from here this morning to exchange a couple of tanks. Some idiot (me) thought I brought out 3 tanks that were half full. Nope. All empty. Oh well. I saw a dead moose on the shoulder of the road that had been hit by a transport only minutes before. I did start building something I'll elaborate on in my camp life thread.

Wrapping up at our FL condo.
Did some caulking where needed, pipe insulation at the heat pump, cleaning, packing.
Neighbor owned up to maybe bumping our heat pump wires. Probably a good thing he did as I'd rather get it fixed while I'm here. Got the wires fixed, had the HVAC freon charged, system inspected. Not pissed at him anymore. Spent a week here but didn't get out to do anything fun but the condo is in great shape.

We held a youth Epee fencing event at my club.

Then when I got home Kobe and I played with NERF Guns. Apparently if you hit a 5 year old in the head with a NERF bullet it is appropriate to stop shooting. I am inappropriate.

So I’m in ‘time out’ now :hammer:

Brings back a memory. When my kid was maybe 5 years old. We bought him a machine gun nerf toy. The kid had so much fun surprising dad around the corner or wherever unloading the mag on me.
