What are you doing today, II

Left at 8:00AM to deposit my granddaughter at her new 2nd floor apartment had a mishap coming up the steps with a cabinet and I lost hold of the refrigerator dolly it slid down the steps pinching my daughter in the wall possibly braking a rib or 2 luckily it was the last large piece to bring up. she said tomorrow if she's still in pain she's going to get checked out.
We stopped at Texas Road House on the way home and had the worst service I've ever had at one my drink was empty after the appetizer's waitress asked if I wanted another I said yes and a spoon for my grandsons apple sauce (none came out with it)
they both came out when I finished my meal. I sent a comment to cooperate when I got home about the service or lack of it.
 
Thanks. We might try this instead of sand. However, our pavers are used reclaimed brick. Rather irregular Not tightly together.
I wonder how this stuff would hold up to the power washer with it being 1/4" to 1/2" wide grouting.
 
Happy Monday y'all. 😊 The sun is shining. It's typical 4 season weather today. -2 celcius meaning long pants and a heavier jacket this morning. By 11am, I predict that I will be peeling layers off. By 1pm it's supposed to be +21. Shorts weather.

I'll be outside either tearing apart the old fifth wheel camper I'm turning into a flat deck or moving the good fifth wheel camper to my shop so I can weld a brace onto the steps. It's held on with self setting bolts that hold through the floor. One side came loose and can't be tightened.
 
@franc - are you using a floor scrubber for cleaning the bricks/concrete or just the wand?
In my experience, the floor scrubber works much better and faster.

Something like this. They have different sizes depending on the power of your washer.

Fixed the flat tire on the side-by-side. Well I hope I fixed it. Added "slime", reset the bead, added air, inspected for punctures and will check it later. Noticed it was completely flat and off the bead last night.

Pool heater is set to 93, so the water is warming up. The air temp is still too cool but as we approach noon we should be nearing 70 (F) degrees, so probably getting in the pool.

Garden will need watering.

But mostly relaxing and enjoying the day. The lovely Mrs_Bob's family is in town and staying with us until tomorrow.

I have one of those, mine is perhaps an older variant of the Ryobi but it works great. Concrete looks almost 'new' after using it. And literally 10-times less effort than trying to use a wand to clean concrete.
 
I have several of the small (like the one pictured) floor scrubbers for the little electric pressure washers.

If I'm using the gas washer, I use something larger diameter and on wheels. This is for places like the driveway (that's hundreds of feet long).

Something like this. Oh, and if you do go to get something like this, make sure it has 4 wheels. 3 wheels suck and can damage the unit if one of the wheels falls off the surface (e.g. into the grass).

Working on both 5th wheel campers. Welded the steps on the good one. After popping the chain off on the chainsaw twice, the last cut on the ceiling mangled the bat so I had to get a little violent. The sxs didn't have enough weight.

I'll just let the picture explain. Lmao.

I have that device. I actually have two of them.
On concrete is works very, very well.
Used brick pavers, not so much.

Pull the brick pavers about 20 at a time and put them in the dishwasher. That's what I do.
Pro tip - Make sure @Crumpy isn't around when you do this. It leaves more sediment in the bottom of the dishwasher than the car parts we do when the Mrs. is away. ;)
 
Just did the math. Sand verses Technoseal.

10 boxes of Technoseal= $270.00
8 Bags of sand at 50#''s= $ 56.00

Crumpy also reminded me that the reason we need to use sand is because we want the rainwater to permeate the surface to meet building codes. We can only roof or pave 30% of the property.

I have over 2,000 bricks. That is a lot of loads thru the dish washer.
I am 78 years old and should live 10 more years.
Not enough time.

What I do have. is Crumpy who will power wash them herself.

The power washing removes most of the moss and stains. When I sweep in fresh sand it removes the rest. Looks good after the sanding
We need another power washer. I have one somewhere around here, garage most likely, and one at Hippie Ridge.
Our son is going there Tuesday and coming back with it soon so next weekend we will get it finished.
Pictures when we are done.

I'm pretty pissed off.
I mentioned in a previous post that I flew down to FL to address a toilet plumbing drip from our place that's going into the condo below us. Don't want to ruin their place.
Just spent $1100 getting new toilets in place. When the neighbors below got home, I went down to listen for drops and had the Mrs in our condo flush the "dripping" toilet. I'm in the condo below and hear a noise but it doesn't sound like water hitting their drywall ceiling.
It's just NORMAL dripping noise from the pipes!!!
I was given the impression that it just started but the guy below said the noise has been there forever! GRRRRRR.

Good news is we have new "right height" toilets. No more sitting 12" off the floor when seated.

I have a pipe I installed in our new bathroom a few years ago. I anchored it with a strap clamp to some studs. Whenever you run the hot water for a while, the plastic pipe expands just a smidge and creaks like dripping water. Erie for sure.
Of course, we didn't notice this until after the drywall was up and the sink vanity was installed

I was planning on yard work but its raining and has been raining.

Apparently I need to watch the weather.

Planted a couple Blueberry bushes and a couple raspberry bushes yesterday. Of course they needed to be in a bed on the far west side of the garden that was just planted with pumpkins. So I dug out the pumpkins, replanted those in the only vacant/unused bed I had remaining. Amended the soil in both beds with 6 more bags of compost. 2 for the pumpkins and 4 for the berries.

I also got the back field mowed. I had started that, but only got the perimeter done a few days ago. Finished it yesterday, which was the bulk of the mowing that needed to be done.

Nothing much planned for today. Maybe I'll go to the workshop and work on some of the woodworking projects I have planned? Or maybe I'll just sit? I do have fencing this evening. Nothing else on my schedule.
 
We're tired today. But no time for rest. My wife spent 10 hrs in emerge last night and had to leave our children's grandmother on a stretcher in the hallway at the hospital as she was waiting for a bed to open up to be admitted.

This morning my daughter has a dentist appointment. Once I get back from that it's turn n burn back to the city with my wife for another appointment. Afterwards I plan on tackling more work on the old fifth wheel camper before it gets too hot. Then I will pack for camp tomorrow. Heading out for the weekend 😎. I have only been out once to open up the slides and drop off the golf cart.

It's Wednesday so and the sun is shining. That means race day at the dirt track tonight.
