The night begfore I went into the marines, Crumpy and I had been together for only three months. Both virgins. This was Nam and I might not come back so,,,I wasn't about to mess things up for her. That would have been selfish.
The marines? Well, they rejected me. She took me back and.,,,,;
We fixed that a year later with the help of a Priest.

BTW, the marines were wrong. Broken or not, with the right motivations, I was quite able to use my back.
