I can't say I agree with this choice....

For a kid singer, I'd go with Jackie Evancho.

Justin Bieber is everywhere. I don't understand teenage girls fascination with him. Music was way better in the 90s...and every other decade. These kids today don't know what they're missing. However, most of those views on Justin's video are from people who go to his videos just to dislike them and write hate comments.
 
She sings just as good live as she does on record. True talent...very rare these days :(

FYI !Just like Tony Bennet did a DUETS cd that won a Grammy ,ANOTHER legend is coming out with a DUETS cd in OCTOBER 2012 & Susan BOYLE is on it!
Not just any legend but one of the 3 Tenors PLACIDO DOMNGO.
He sings a Shania Twain hit with Susan Boyle: FROM THIS MOMENT & ppl its already getting buzz. These r 2 phenomenal voices that will surely do Shanias beautiful song great justice, so look for PLACIDO DOMINGO's cd this fall.
Currently SUSAN is recording her 4th cd also out later this year!

As I remeber the 90's, it was the advent of the hip hop, turned to wrap, then to gansta rap......the ruination of the FM stations I used to listnen to. I prefere talk radio these days, or an oldies music station. My daughters thankfully are into country music, fitting as they are definately country girls..

IMHO the best rock/ jazz/ blues for the most part were played in the 70's and 80's...maybe very early 90's...Then the sound of the jungle took over for a decade or so:doh::whistling:

After that the promoters didn't seem to mind if the musicians had any talent, just if they were marketable, or not. How they appeared (TV friendly) became more important than how they sounded.

Or maybe I'm just getting too old to have changed with the times...

Well, today I tried finding the closing ceremony for the Olympics on Youtube, etc..
I'd watched some, but wanted to see the entire thing.
Seems it's been blocked by the BBC.
The vids I did check this morning are bullshit ones.
Meant to be a joke, I suppose.
 
Yeah, I hate it when a youtube video I really want to watch gets blocked or removed. I'm like "fuck you, copyright laws!" ....and that's the edited version. LOL
