Ahh, understanding history is the window of our mind. The system was so much different back in the day.

The original concept by our founding fathers was that the House, which mimics the UK House of Commons, be populated by working men, aka farmers, and that they would serve two years, which was a huge sacrifice to leave the farm. Elections at the end of the year after the crops were harvested with campaign stumping measured in day or weeks, certainly not months or years like it is now.

Also back then, they generally served those two years and then back to the farm / plantation and someone else would take over. This would be easy to update today with term limits.

As opposed to the Canadian system where the government can impose whatever it wants, although we are learning fast, I will stay with our flawed system.

Never once said the Canadian system is any better. Our system is just as flawed. At least we don't have to endure 2 years of bribing and behind the scenes padding of pockets. Up here, we call an election and within months it's done and over with. Just pointing out that the so called self proclaimed greatest nation in the Galaxy takes 2 years and millions of dollars to process an election for a 4 year term.

Personally I don't have much use for any form of government as in my opinion, they are all a bunch of backstabbing thieves no matter what political party is in power. I view elections as looking into the toilet after I take a dump and trying to figure out which brownie stinks the least.

It's like they woke up on Tuesday morning and discovered they had an election to oversee that no one ever told them about. I mean what the flippin' fuck!!! Do these friggin' morons have any idea what the hell they are doing at all? By contrast Florida counted 7.7 million votes in the Governors race is seven hours.

We need to agree as States to end this travesty. 17 States have issues with removing the Covid changes from their election laws.
Somehow, we either have to end that or learn to play the game of stuff the ballot box.

Yes, we do. the entire nation is affected by the incompetency of these states who's crucial races matter in the current make-up of the Congress.
Delays in counting aren't about incompetence but opportunities to commit fraud. The longer ballots are stored uncounted, their chain of custody is more easily corrupted.

I'm betting somewhere in Maricopa County AZ, there is a building where "workers" are calculating how many write in ballots are yet needed for their party to win.

Reports in this morning is that the vote count in AZ HAS SLOWED DOWN. Apparently the count was moving along too swiftly to effectively put a cheat in play.

Marty, I wasn't talking about the election managers. It would seem they have no shame.

Also, we need to outlaw mail in ballots.

Us hillbilly Missourians show an ID, get a paper ballot,fill it out, , and it is counted as soon as we put it thru the tabulation machine. Then saved in the event that the machine screws up. The system is statewide connected so no one can do that twice.

One-two hours after the polls close, we get an answer that we, and the rest of the nation, can trust.

Simple, clean and verifiable.

So, I have to ask,,,; What is wrong with that?

I have to wonder if the unaffected election States Attorney Generals could sue those States who have mail in ballots for
not getting votes counted on election day.
This has disenfranchised all voters from a timely outcome.

And now this from Nevada: Cortez Masto beat Republican challenger Adam Laxalt, a former state attorney general who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Seems like both AZ and NV were slow counting votes till the dems saw how many they needed to pull out a win.

I used to be a poll worker and did some work in the Republican party for our county. 400,000 votes left to count may be totally inconsequential if you know where the vote are that are still uncounted.

Precincts tend to vote in very predictable patterns. If you have 20 of them in a city, some will be "reliable GOP" pockets of voters while others are "reliable Dem" voters. Others will be mixed. But if a precinct historically casts 80% of its votes to the GOP candidate, then you know, even if the vote is not yet counted, that of the 10,000 votes from that precinct, AT LEAST 70% or 7000 will go to the GOP, and that is in an area where they typically vote 80% to the GOP.

It is all just math.

400,000 outstanding, but if they are in areas which favor the Democratic party then they already know which way the votes will swing, and even allowing for a LARGE MARGIN OF ERROR, they can pretty easily predict the winner.

It should be noted that the vote is NOT CERTIFIED or OFFICIAL until after all votes are counted. So the official declaration is not until the certification date, and is subject to adjustment based on the actual vote.

Nothing nefarious about this.

Associated press did the same when announcing Biden victory. They are using their now misguided clout to try and ram the ball
across the goal line. I consider what they are doing as playing ball for the Democrats I hate..

Now it is coming to light that FTX had partnered with Ukraine to process donations to their war efforts within days of Joe Biden pledging billions of American taxpayer dollars to the country. Ukraine invested into FTX as the Biden administration funneled funds to the invaded nation, and FTX then made massive donations to Democrats in the US.

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of the now defunct FTX Crypto along with two others associated with the company, director of engineering Nishad Singh and co-founder Gary Wang, are "under supervision" in the Bahamas after the trio reportedly were planning on fleeing to Dubai.

Of course Fried and his associates will only be prosecuted on whatever monies they cheated out of the US gov't. Anything to do with the Dems will be brushed aside as right wing misinformation and blocked on all mainstream media sites.
