Lost a friend and former co-worker!

The Old Salt
Big John and his brother Wayne in their 2 seat ATV went through the ice on Lake Champlain this past weekend. They were finishing up a day of ice fishing and heading back to shore from their shanty when it went through the ice. Both John and Wayne were both experienced sportsman. I have spent more than a few days with them at their hunting camp during deer season and it was always safety first. Very sad and I am bummed. My circle of long time friends and co-workers is getting smaller.

Butch, that is so sad. Sorry for your loss
 
Ahhh man that is horrible. So sorry for them and your loss Butch. A nightmare for their family. So sad.
 
Thanx everyone. Their families are doing OK considering the situation. The union is getting together lots of things for the families, meals, that sort of thing. Services and internment will be in spring.
