Let's be honest, Elon Musk has been made a fool of by the GOP. After assembling the DOGE team and spending months finding egregious levels of waste, fraud and abuse within the US government - i.e. what Trump supporters voted for - House and Senate Republicans gave Musk a little pat on the head, then proceeded to roll out President Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' - that codified exactly zero of DOGE's findings, raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, and relies on ambitious economic projections to achieve what the White House insists is $1.4 trillion in savings (while the Congressional Budget Office projects deficits of $1.7 - $2.3 trillion over the next decade).​

On Tuesday, Musk posted to X, "I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination."​

His post was immediately met with support from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who said "We can and must do better."​

This sent the White House scrambling to do damage control - with Budget Director Russ Vought sending Congress a request for a $9.4 billion clawback for unspent foreign aid funding - which if you're Musk, after what DOGE has uncovered, is a huge slap in the face.​

Kill (the) Bill​

On Wednesday, Musk continued to rage on X - posting: "Call your Senator, Call your Congressman, Bankrupting America is NOT ok! Kill the Bill." - followed by a 'Kill Bill' movie poster featuring Uma Thurman.​

Musk's solution? A new spending bill that doesn't jack the debt ceiling by $5 trillion dollars while "massively" growing the deficit.​

Nah, that would make sense and be to easy.

They have muck it up, get at lease a third, maybe even 2/3rds of the people pissed off at them.

And then have the richest man in the world rebel and stand behind the masses of people, before the politicians make some concession to maybe, in the near future, doing what the people actually want.

Only time with tell if they act. But the voices are clear.

Remain skeptical. Remain vigilant.

Call your Senator to increase spending cuts and reduce SALT and other pork.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) hopes to make the “big, beautiful bill” much “better” — not to “stop” it, he said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.​

Paul, a critic of the bill now in the U.S. Senate, told host Mike Slater that he has maintained throughout his time as senator that debt is a problem.​

“One of the things that I’ve always promised is that the debt is a problem — that has to come down — and that the debt is a bipartisan problem, that I’m an equal opportunity critic of both parties. You know, they have to — they have to do a better job. I’m conservative before I am anything else,” Paul said. “I’m a fiscal conservative.”​

“But the thing is, is I can tell you my goal’s not to stop bill. My goal’s to make it better,” he explained. “So really, there is a compromise. Short term, short term increase in the debt ceiling, or separate into a separate vote, and you have my vote. But it can’t be — I’m not enough to stop this bill. Anyway, it takes four people. So I’ve been advocating and wish there were four that were as loud as I am, because we’d have had this fixed months ago,” Paul explained. . . . ​

SENATE had their FIRST (of many) votes today on the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Thom Tillis, Rand Paul and Ron Johnson all cast "NO" votes. JD Vance is expected to arrive in the Senate as a tie breaker vote.

Vice President JD Vance has arrived at the Capitol to potentially cast a tiebreaking vote to advance the GOP megabill. He was accompanied by Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri, who golfed earlier today with President Donald Trump. Four other GOP senators — Mike Lee of Utah, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Rick Scott of Florida — have yet to vote. All need to vote “yes” to advance the legislation.

House could vote as early as Tuesday.

The bill was stripped of all the Pro-Gun provision, the bill was stripped of virtually all spending cuts. The one big thing that remains, which is big, are the original Trump Tax Cuts from his first term that are expiring. So that alone is a decent reason to support the bill, assuming there is no new spending. But, of course, there is a lot of new spending.



MEANWHILE . . . ELON MUSK has renewed his attacks on the Big Beautiful Bill.

He has stated it will cost the US economy many MILLIONS of jobs if it passes as is.

I just want them to realize 2 things

1: They are spending our money without our approval!
2: They work for us and if they keep this up they will be unemployed!
 
The Senate voted to pass the 'procedure' to allow the full Senate vote, which could happen Sunday/Monday. Ron Johnson switched to a YES vote at the end. Thom Tillis and Rand Paul both voted no.

This vote PRESERVES the Trump Tax Cuts. It also rolls back much of the Biden 'green agenda' policies, but so many other good things have been stripped from the bill. And some of the bad things still remain in the bill. If it only contained the Trump Tax Cuts and roll back of the green new deal policies we could all agree on it. But the devil is always in the details, like the SALT tax being raised to $40,000 which effectively bails out taxpayers in the deep blue states, and many other things.
 
F***ing RINOS just keep spending more and more.

SENATE bill is cutting in some places, adding debt and raising the debt ceiling.

HOUSE version was far from perfect but is the Senate making it impassable?

One thing is clear, we need the Trump Tax Cuts from his first term to be made permanent. But we don't want more spending. What are the odds now that the Senate and the House can agree in "reconciliation"?
