Interesting that my Mom was born in 1917 and raised in Chicago. One evening she, her friends and family heard a bunch of comotion. They walked down the street, around the corner and there was the Valentine's Day Massacre.

35 cents a gallon when the price went up in 74, I said I'd stop driving if prices went to 75 cents but I'm still driving at 4.50 in 2023
