Question for Mrs Cowboy. Is he actually as big a curmudgeon as he makes himself out to be?

not as long as you're nice to the horde of kittens...

I had the same thought but as part of my kinder gentler change I did not say it. I figure he cut the wrong f...ing tree down!:yum::yum::yum:

You're going through the change???:whistling:

JEV, I've never known a person to be kinder or gentler while going through "the change" ....

and adding to the rest of the well wishes -- hope cowboy is doing better soon. If not, Mrs. Cowboy - feel free to give me a holler and I'll come down and help around the place for a day.

Ditto. I can be down there in a couple of hours if any extra help is needed.

Thankyou Jackie for relaying the message and thanks to all for the wellwishes . A Special thanks to Erik and DS for the kind offer to help out if needed . :thankyou2:beer:

This was just one of those freak accidents that sould have been much much worse because it happened while I was on the tractor while moving from tree to tree trimming low branches . Luckily I had my seatbelt on so I didn't get pulled off of the tractor and since these were locust trees ( with the huge thorns ) I was damn lucky it was the end of the branch instead of one of the long thorns that got my eye . Worst thing is it was my better eye so its slowed me down quite a bit cuz I only have about 50% vision in the other one . At any rate allthough it will never be the same I feel very lucky it wasn't far worse . Definatlly was a wake up call though , you just cant be TO carefull I recon . :hammer:

On a side note , My wife never got to this thread because she has been layed up with a broken foot that happened shortly after she had PM'd Jackie about my lil accident . Just hasn't been a good month for us as she has also recently became unemployed . Long story there and I will most likelly start another thread about that depending on how that works out in the next two weeks, because I may need some legal advice on it .

All that said I sure have missed being able to read whats been going on here cuz my screens to damn bright , BTW is there Any way a person can change the settings on ones moniter to lower the brightness ?

Thanks again to all .

Well, welcome back Cowboy; its good to see you here, and to know that you're ok... I do hope that your wife isn't suffering too much with her broken foot. I'm sorry for all the trouble that you both seem to be going thro at the moment, and sincerely hope that this period will pass soon.

Yes, indeed, one can lessen the brightness on a monitor screen. I don't know what the make and design of yours is, but I do know that there are some bright sparks here that will be able to guide you thro it on that score.

Take care, and best wishes to you and your wife... :flowers:

Welcome back, Cowboy!

Either you can put on a pair of shades, or use the function (Fn) hot keys to adjust your brightness. The brightness keys look like a dark sun (darker) and hollow sun (brighter).

Welcome back Cowboy and you're very welcome! Glad you are feeling a little better but sorry about your wife now. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers for an easier time.

On the brightness, it depends on what kind of computer you have (desktop or laptop). My desktop had buttons right on the monitor. My laptop has keys for it. Hope this helps.

Again, glad to see you back!
