Team Trump's fears that Taylor Swift (and her 279 million followers) could keep Biden in power

I corrected your misinformation with the actual SPR oil chart and you still want to dismiss the truth. A simple Google search will show that Joe is producing more oil under his admin than Trump. I can’t help that you deny facts.

No, I read it. I did not dismiss it at all. did you read it? All of it?
It is only recently that domestic oil production has increased. Biden did nothing to make that happen. Our domestic industry simply responded to the world shortage and demand. I also posted my analysis of the rather recent oil production increases to which you give Biden credit. Then I asked you to show us what Biden did to accomplish the increase...

BTW, the recent approval of more oil drilling has no impact on current production. However, such a move in the opposite direction is, IMHO clever campaign fodder.

Yes they might be refining but were did it come from IIRC the strategic oil reserve ????
I know my Gas lease royalty is down about 90% from 2 years ago yes $4000 now $400 not helping my economic situation with gas and food prices going haywire, blaming that on Trump too?

Biden’s administration sold off more than 40 percent of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve last year to help limit rising fuel prices after Russia invaded Ukraine, leaving the stockpile at its lowest levels since the early 1980s. That’s fueling Republican accusations that Biden has left the U.S. vulnerable to a disruption of global oil supplies — at a time when Hamas’ terrorist attacks in Israel are stoking fears of a wider regional war disrupting fuel shipments from the Middle East.

“That’s Joe Biden’s fault for trying to lower the price of gas before the election,” House Natural Resources Chair Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) told POLITICO.

Did I say Biden didn’t sell off the oil ? Nope, I just corrected someone up above who was spewing misinformation. Joe has done no better than Trump but Trump also drew down our reserves.

You can cite any article I don’t care if it’s liberal or not. The key is It tells you right in the article that the numbers are no good.

For some reason people think your liberal when you call Trump out, that’s exactly how we will loose this election, folks need to realize there are hundreds of thousands of republicans who won’t vote for Trump ever again and we will just not vote.

Let's agree the border is a mess, no denying that. The key for me is the border was a mess under Trump also and the COVID lockdown bill is The only thing that slowed that mess.
SPR Levels by President

It would appear Trump did not, as he often claims, completely refill the SPR. But Biden certainly drained it.

I read it and it corrects your statement. The bottom line is we are producing more oil under Biden.

I thought Trump didn’t drain the SPR ? Do you recall this post below of you telling stories ? I think you’re missing the point of me correcting the lies up above about Trump filling it.

I never once justified what Joe has done, it’s reckless no different than Trump.

Just recently and just barely.

And, Biden is taking credit for it. I asked, what did he do?

Odd that an election year is nigh. But then that would suggest Biden actually did something. You are obviously.
good at researching facts. I've asked repeatedly,,,; Find that one.

Thank you I am good with facts…I’m not perfect and I miss stuff, just like everyone. I can’t stand Trump and don’t want us to lose this election. Taylor Swift is going to demolish Trump and his campaign and then we will be crying for another four years, I don’t know why more folks don’t see that Trump has no chance. We need a better horse.

About that you may be right. But a "better horse" has not presented and won the favor of the conservative voters. For those who enjoyed the period of President Trump and then suffered the pain and losses under Biden, he is the better choice of the two, HANDS DOWN.

If the Democrats want to win, without cheating, they are the party who needs a BETTER HORSE!

Curious,
What has the last 34 postings have to do with Travis and Taylor Swift affecting the election? Frankly I don't give a squat about those two but, if they have any impact, perhaps we should try to discuss it.

I'm surprise the Mods let it go this long. However, they sometimes do give us lots of rope upon which to hang ourselves.
The subject of Biden claims vrs Trump claims has merit. Enough merit to warrant its own thread.

You know where Taylor is going to take this and it will win over millions of votes. Roe Vs Wade is going to come back to haunt the republicans and Taylor will make sure every YouTuber , every news station and every concert goer hears how it’s Trumps fault. I see the writing on the wall.

She has over 240 million followers who receive her message any time she wants with the push of a button. She will be on the election trail doing concerts you watch.

Roe V Wade has haunted the GOP who have handled it badly.
There is not one sentence, word, coma, or period in our Constitution that supports killing a fetus.
I don't have an issue with abortion, it is sometimes medically necessary. However, abortion on demand is wrong. It takes a judge and 12 jurors to condemn a murderer to death. However, a woman in crisis can just make it go away by making that decision, to end an innocent life just like that.

Roe v Wade was based on a lie from the beginning. The woman who's pregnancy started the case lied about how she got pregnant. The recent review and dismissal of Roe V Wade by the SCOTUS agreed that it was "Bad Law."

Taylor Swift may have 240 million followers, but I seriously doubt they all take her political bent seriously to change their vote.

Generally I agree with you on this.

Roe Vs Wade will hurt a more conservative candidate than Trump, he was actually pretty tolerant on abortions and has a private business record to back that up.

I think Taylor Swift can sway a lot of voters, best thing that Trump can do is minimize the damage by not being a jerk. His mean Tweets pissed off a lot of independent voters. If his campaign can control him, he can come off a lot less like an idiot.

If he runs on/against Biden's record, in a sane way, he will win. But that is a huge "IF" for him. Employment participation rate is down, which helps make the unemployment rate look good. ADT is reporting private sector payrolls dropping. More people now have 2 jobs. Pay is not keeping up with inflation except in a couple sectors (Government & Healthcare jobs). Factory and tech are losing jobs. Warehousing is stagnant. And government sector jobs help fuel inflation, which is shockingly high, even when it drops on a month-to-month it is a cumulative number and people are having trouble paying for heat, food, gasoline and mortgages. Mortgage rates skyrocketed and are unaffordable and private home ownership is dropping; many now think they will never be able to afford a home. And while we disagree on Trumps border control, that is a huge issue and people, from all parts of the political spectrum, believe Trump did a much better job of controlling the influx of illegal immigrants.

Taylor Swift may have 240 million followers, but I seriously doubt they all take her political bent seriously to change their vote.
Surveys say that 20+% of her fans will switch to whatever she endorses. So I think she has a good bit of sway.

240 million followers, 330 million is the total population, you have been drinking your bathwater, maybe world wide, but they don't vote here.

Who Said they all voted ? Let’s take it easy on making childish comments about drinking bath water, especially since we know each other.

I think the point being made is that Taylor swift is not going to decide this election. In all likelihood, THE Donald will be making that decision.

His behavior must be more measured than last time. Against Joe Biden, it is his contest to lose.

Thanks Francis.

Trump is already doing what lost him the last election and the same folks don’t see what they didn’t see last time. You can’t run on the same failed polices you lost on last election, it never works. Who in their right mind though kid rock could even hold a candle to Taylor swift, he’s getting very bad advice. Just today the border patrol union came out backing the new bill to close the border. The republicans are going to shut it down giving easy ammunition to the democrats, especially since the BP backed the bill as a solution that would solve the issues.

Here is my prediction.

Trump’s team will have him say inflation was Biden’s fault, Biden’s team will point to how much Trumps administration printed including pushing the Fed’s to hold real rates negative and buying up trillons in MBS pushing housing out of reach for all young voters.
Id wager Biden’s team will easily win this message since the data Will back the message that he printed more and we all heard Trump pushing Jay Powell to cut rates.

Next Trumps team will point to the border problems, Biden’s team will point to the bill that the Border patrol union backed saying it would solve the crisis and Republicans didn’t want to solve it, the worst part is many high level republicans have openly said they don’t want to solve the border issue and they are on the record, this will be replayed in ads this fall over and over again.

Next we will see Trump start attacking Taylor swift who is loved by millions across all political parties….This is bad , I can’t for the life of me think why he or his campaign thinks even saying her name is a good idea. Biden will have her on the campaign trail talking with young voters and old alike…

This is just off the top of my head how I see this fall playing out. I’m not suggesting I agree with any off it. I sure hope I’m wrong on all of this but I’ll bet I get close to what plays out.

So did senator Mcconell. But the House won't go for it.
BTW the bill sets a limit of 5,000immigrant per day but the fine print says it is 5000 "Mexican" immigrants, ie; not counting everyone else. Even if it were 5,000 altogether, it is a bogus feint. The "voters" on both sides don't want more coming in.

The Bill is DOA in the House.

And so is Taylor Swift's influence. Jus' keeping on topic.

BTW, some polls convincingly suggest Trump may well win.
This analysis suggests you may be mistaken.

I think Trump is going to win on his own popularity as he did the first time.
It's going to be the same as before because American voters are tired of the shit.
Taylor Swift isn't going to have a damn thing to do with either side.
The voters are going to speak, without influence from fixed votes, media influence, misinformation or anything else we've suffered through in the past.

People so easily forget those same polls showed he could win the last election.

I would not bet $1 on either candidate at this point. Both have the potential to lose the election. Trump has a lot going for him but not enough to completely ignore the massive Trump haters that are still out there and vote.
If Biden wins it would not be because people like him but because they can't stand Trump.
There is a huge percentage of undecided voters out there. Plus the Kennedy factor if he continues his 3rd party run.
There is a lot of action and screw ups yet to happen and I do not see an easy path for any candidate.

That too 😊

Here was the map Nov 2 Trump was leading.

Man I would love Kennedy.
I actually would like to see Trump as President again, because things were a lot better then during his term, I loathed him for a while after.
I think if he had Kennedy with him, in some capacity, that would be grand, but if that would happen who knows?
I adore Bobby Kennedy and would be totally shocked if he ever makes it running on the independent ticket, but you know? I'm dreaming and hoping for a better America.
We all are.

timcast on you tube is discussing Bobby now 9:19 monday and IIRC the figured he would only be eligible to be on 35 state ballots .
Not that I'm one of his fans but his canoe isn't even in the stream.
A few of his ideas I agree with but most I don't.

One reason he is likely to win this time will be the credibility of the voting pols. My biggest disappointment with the Republican party was their lazy and gutless approach to the questionable integrity of the 2020 election.
