The GOP is getting their hat handed to them

Looks like the establishment candidates are running an uphill battle agaiints the mood of the voters. It would appear the voters are pissed at the GOP establishment.

Trump is barely leading Carson who is surging upward along with Fiorina. Carson and Fiorina are getting name recognition to lift their boats. And "The Donald" is resonating with the voters as anti establishment as well.

All are non politicians (well Trump is a different kind of politician) and they are doing well with GOP voters.

I would love to see a recent poll on the general population. Last one I saw had Hillary still winning in 2016. But she is losing ground more and more every day.

Go Bernie go!

Go Bernie go!

Scary. If the uninformed electorate was foolish enough to elect that charismatic half-black, anti-imperialist senator from Chicago, Barack Hussein Obama -- TWICE -- it is clearly foolish enough to elect an avowed socialist.

We get what we deserve. We deserve what we get.

Honestly glad to see the open revolt against the establishment.

I hate to have to say this, but,............ between Bernie and Killery, SHE would get my vote:ermm:

Fortunately we won't have to decide between those 2 choice. One or the other may be 1 of the choices put forward by the Democrats, but there will likely be an equally unqualified choice put forward by the GOP who will oppose the unqualified choice from the Dems.

I dunno. Bernie is a known quantity, a socialist, and a meek one at that. But as a third string Senator, he has little record of dishonesty.

Hillary, is just a plain bloviating LIAR.

The office of the Presidency desperately needs an honest occupant. I think the a majority of the electorate now sees that. As indicated by recent polling data on both sides..

Maybe that is why Ben and Fiorina are surging?

And after all, who on the left (besides Bernie) has those credentials

I don't think Hillary will even make it to the finish line.

I am less afraid of Bernie. Mainly because his last name isn't Clinton.

If Bernie gets the nod, in open debates his socialistic beliefs will get him in trouble, I think. But I could be wrong, and Americans could be stupider than I thought...

Big 10-4 ........ I can't wait until McConnell and Boehner get their assess kicked out!!

It would seem that The DONALD is running his third party from inside the GOP. That's gotta piss off the establishment. You'll note he hardly talks about Obama directly, or singles him out. But he has no problem calling the whole bunch in Congress and the White House,,, "stupid"

Ben Carson has done remarkably well after several false starts and gaffs. His rhetoric is full of references aimed directly at the Obama Administration. People find him gentle and likable. I see him as a Jimmy Carter, but Smarter. And on the GOP side.

Carly Fiorina is also bucking the GOP establishment refusing to be pigeonholed into a corner of silence. She gives the establishment an Hakims Razor. Agree with her and the GOP must admit failure, nepotism and impotence. But if they challenge her or obstruct her, it validates the, so called by the left, war on women

Ted Cruz is standing on absolute solid conservatism. And again attacks the Corporatism of both the left and the right.

Governor Walker bucks all trends and despite having no college degree, out smarts and out foxes both the left and right when they try to corral him.

All five are mavericks to the Washington elite. All five now lead the GOP polls. Coincidence? I think not

In 2010 the TEA's showed the rebellion had grit and relevance. 2014 did the same with Republican voters putting the Congress back in their control. If the GOP would stop fighting the will of the people they could win 2016 easily. It is shaping up to be a hell of a bloody fight

I cannot help but hope the rebels win.

Run Ben Run!

Run Ben Run!

When GOP voters in Iowa were asked if the next president should be someone “outside of government,” 66 percent said yes. Only 23 percent opted for “someone with government experience.”

Ben Carson surging into a tie with Donald Trump for the first time in the GOP presidential contest — a stunning jump for a political novice who is the latest outsider to shake up the race. Trump and Carson, who came to prominence when he laced into President Obama at a televised prayer breakfast in 2013 as the president looked on, each got 23 percent in the Monmouth University poll released Monday.

Yeah baby... :D

franc,

I think the five candidates you highlighted are scaring the bejeesus out of the political establishment in Washington D.C. None of them have roots in the bull shit of our nations capital, and all of them I feel would "upset" the federal Government, to the point things might actually get done.

PG, Mr Ben Carson is so much more than I thought at first. I really love to hear him speak, his has so much to offer, in his logic and his understanding of the issue of race. Blacks nation wide would do them selves a big favor if they rally around this man. I hope they figure that out...

Here in Iowa as you can tell we are fed up with politicians who are beholden to the GOP party line. Those idiots who run the party better listen up. I don't think Iowa is much different than any other state in the mid West.

If the RNC doesn't recognize what's happening they're heading down a path to self destruction. These "outsiders" are attracting a large segment of GOP and independent voters who are not happy w/ "the way we've always done it".
Same for the dems. Hill's baggage is the reason Sanders is coming up fast. The dem's options are very limited at this point in time and I believe billery will eventually have to throw in the towel.
Mike

What do you expect from a party that still relies on Karl Rove and Newt Gingrich as advisors? The GOP is being run by morons right now and have made a left turn. They, (the establishment,) are no longer conservatives, they are left wingers. As the native Americans would say, "they speak weith forked tongue."

When you have a party who will go after and destroy their own members you know they can't be taken seriously anymore.

One more thing I want to add. As I don't have cable anymore I can't watch much national news. This morning while fixing my moms breakfast at her apartment I had FOX news on. They were really dumping on the Donald for some twitter ad. FOX in my opinion is taking orders from the republican establishment and will not let a person who is not approved by them be the nominee to run against the democrats in 2016. This will set up the victory for the democrats, which is what I think they want.

I'm sick of both parties and if Trump does make a thrid party run I will vote for him.

66% is a great number. But here is a better one PG. Ben score over 80% in popularity amoung Iowa Republicans. That is an almost unheard of figure for a political candidate.

Keep in mind that Obama was elected on his populism,, not his record of job performance(which BTW was either hidden or virtually non existent).

This populism has dominated the last two major elections and bodes well for Dr. Carson.

I don't agree at all that FOX is "dumping on Trump" because of orders from the GOP. That's not only bad speculation, it is pure nonsense. The Bombastic Donald is news. Period.

If you were to watch FOX regularly , you would see Megan calling out Boehner and McConnell, and the GOP members, frequently. And Jeb Bush has gotten little support from any FOX pundit.

I'm not exonerating FOX here. After all, they are in the news business and tell what sells. Trump is the news that bleeds today.

Just saw on the news Carson is tied w/ Trump in Iowa. There is a stark contrast in their personalities, so maybe all of Trumps noise isn't really what's selling, just his ideas.
Mike

That may well be true. But if you were responding to my point, it is his noise that the media types are selling. I seriously doubt the MSM is behind Trump's ideas enough to promote them. Quite the opposite.

I've said it from the beginning that Trump is nothing more than a showboating, blowhard.
Perhaps the media and a large number of former supporters are finally starting to see that.
Personally, it would be a pleasure to see Trump just go away, and allow some of the other candidates to climb in popularity.

I can picture in my mind any of the candidates standing there on Inauguration Day, giving a speech to the nation- all of them that is, except for Donald Trump.

I must disagree. It's not that Trump should just go away and ALLOW some of the others to climb. It's up to the others to put out a better message that the public is looking for.

I'd also disagree that I would be happy if any of the candidates other than Trump gives the inauguration speech. In my mind, all but the outliers are the problem.

Trump not only puts out the message that many want to hear, but many also believe that he is the most likely to follow through on the message.

Yes!

I also believe that Carson and Fiorina would follow through on their messages of what they could do to make America great again.

Trump....smart enough to amass 10 billion dollars.....just a blowhard......lol

Thanks for my laugh today....I needed one.

And none of the are affiliated with the leadership class that has run our country into the ground. I find that very refreshing, and it sends a message to Washington D.C. that could not be better sent. Ass holes there who sit on their collective asses should take notice.....

Careful. The Clintons have amassed a fortune and have never worked a private sector day in their lives. Smart enough to get rich isn't necessarily smart enough to run the country with honesty.

I'm not saying Trump is a crook like the Clintons. But he is bombastic and really comes off like professional wrestling. But then maybe that's what it will take to bring the nation back from the brink.

After all, the left has got nothing. And I mean absolutely nothing on the bench, no candidates with enthusiasm, national pride, or ideas that have proven to work. Nothing!:hammer:

okay, how about his reputation for being a jackass would be detrimental to his presidency?

The below is from Newsweek

Voters think Trump, the leading Republican contender, is "arrogant" (58 responses), a "blowhard" (38 responses) and an "idiot" (35 responses). Rounding out Trump's top 10 were "businessman," "clown," "honest," "ego," "money," "outspoken" and "crazy." ("Asshole" ranked 14th.)

Of course it is his ideas. Yes, he makes noise, so what. It's his ideas that are resonating with many folks in this country.

We are fed up with the Dimwits allowing unfettered illegal aliens along with their high crime rates. If he has his way he will bar code them and ship their asses back home, same as Mexico would do if the situation were reversed.

Everyone talks about the demise of the middle class. Why is that? Because all the blue collar manufacturing jobs went to the Chinamen. He wants to bring them back. That is how to help the middle class, give them their high paying jobs back. Oreo Cookies are a big joke, but how many jobs did Nabisco just ship to Mexico? 600, because of trade barriers with sugar imports. He wants to fix that. Anyone else even talk about it. Not that I know of. http://dailysignal.com/2015/08/18/how-us-sugar-policies-just-helped-america-lose-600-jobs/ Is anyone really that naive to believe the price of Oreos will drop at all once they have access to cheaper sugar and cheap beaner labor? :yum::yum::yum:

He is NOT political correct. Many of us are not either, yet we must endure the Dimwits with their out of control PC bullshit. Time for this to stop and it will with Trump.

The Republicans got a mandate in the last election and what in hell did they do with it? NOTHING, that's what. Is anyone here really expecting that to change in one of the other 16 gets in. It will be business as usual.

He does not apologize to anyone when he is right. Hell, he does not even apologize when he is wrong. :yum:

Most of the time you can't even get a straight answer out of the other 16, let alone the three Dimwits and the Commie running on the Dark Side Ticket.

The last election the Repubs got a mandate from the voters and they did nothing. They will do nothing again if given the chance. At least Trump is stirring the pot of shit to see how much it smells. Maybe that is a good thing.

Bill Clinton is like an evil genius....so...
I would be worse...a lot of people would hate my guts....but I would straighten this country out....so I don't care if some people like him or not.....his style is more like my style....understand?
Arrogance is lambasting someone who has accomplished a hell of a lot more then you have. I stand by what I said.

Newsweek is as biased as it gets and polls are made up of who you contact.....Newsweek readers are not going to say good things about Trump...period...
