Gone But Not Forgotten
Got lucky and snagged some 2nd row center stage tickets to take the wife to see the old man tonight. He still puts on one hell of a show. The amazing thing was all the women, young and old who were throwing themselves and undies and other items to him. Hell, he has 15 years on me and they were going crazy for the old coot. Over half the crowd was retirement age plus but it was a great show. Was nice to be so close to a show without getting the little bit of hearing I have left blown out.

Looks like he got some good mileage out of the guitar....

Still probably worth tens of thousands of dollars should he decide to sell it...
 
I like his music, but he is hard for me to look at. Wish he would clean himself up some.

Cool! I was hoping to catch him at one of his local hang-outs. He's known for stopping at his local bar and doing an impromptu concert for whomever is there. I went in, but no Willie. :(
 
Nope did not smell any! BUT-- there were some very red eyes in some of the crowd and some of the young chicks were a little liquored up. They sell beer at the arena and quite a few were imbibing. For the most part folks behaved. One young thing ran up right in front of us and flashed her tits at Willie and he just smiled! Funny to see 20 year olds flashing a 76 year old guy! I did get to shake his hand when he finished the show and he gave a young boy about 5-7 years old one of his bandannas after the show.
 
Sounds like a fun night all the way around. That will make that kids day. Good for Willie. :thumb: :tiphat: :clap:
Wouldn't it be awesome to catch Willie in an impromptu show like that, in a cozy little tavern. :D

He has a nice place in Maui, right on the ocean. When he can get off the road and get to that place, nearby is a restaurant/bar called Charley's that Willie likes to visit. Sometimes he stops in and starts jamming.
