What does everyone do for exercise?

I've had acupuncture. I've had pretty much every kind of treatment there is for my back as I've been going to physical therapy for 6 years along with chiropractor for 2 years. What has been working the best is suction cups. They smother by entire back with gel then press a couple of suction cups on my back and move them around to lift and manipulate the muscles to loosen them.
A friend of mine went to a Chinese therapist where they used suction cups.

I might try that sometime.

I am currently going to a Chiropractor Clinic where they use cold laser, ultra sound, a rolling massage machine that goes over the entire spine, some kind of electrical stimulation and the chiropractor uses somerhing that sound like a stapler---supposed to apply pressure to specific points.

Well worth the money.

The dry needles help with specific areas that have knots to loosen then up. The suction cups give more of a whole back treatment. I often get big round bruises though after a treatment. It kind of affects my speedo wearing abilities in the summer. 🤪 Where massage and other forms of muscle manipulation is pushing on the muscles, the suction cups pull on the muscles to loosen and break up any knots.

I can see how the suction cups would work well.
The other day I got a muscle spasm, the wife sucked on it for a while and it completely relaxed after that.:geek:

Normally I use my treadmill (a very nice thing, especially for those who can't go to the gym or go jogging outside) every day for 20 minutes. I started to do it after the film "Just Go with it" with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. Do you remember the moment, when the main character stayed in a swimsuit and her son said that she runs on a treadmill every day? I think almost everyone wants to look like Jen.

Fencing coach so I tend to chase people around a room while holding a 3' metal stick. At home we have an elliptical machine, a treadmill and an exercise bike.

Jennifer Aniston ranks as one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is timeless.

As a 75 year old male, I can expect that there is no exercise program , or discipline, that would get me even close.

Exercise? As a firefighter we did a routine every morning before shift. That way we were all exhausted when the clarion sounded.

Twelve ounce curls and diddly squats for me now.

Even though I own the company, I do enjoy warehouse work. So my body gets a workout daily. And it complains about it nightly.

Hence the 12 ounce curl program.

Im 64 I worked out most of my life starting around 14, I recently started again about a month ago from a birthday resolution and the realization that one of the kids was stronger than me. I had been more than a 10 year layoff and the first couple weeks were brutal, last time I was working out it was isolation exercises with 50# dumbbells, first set to failure was around 15 - 20. I could do 50 pushups in 30 seconds and about the same in sit ups.

Flash forward, I could only get 3 reps with the 50# isolated arm curl, 25 sit ups and 35 push ups to failure. After a month of Monday, Wednesday, Friday, weights and Tuesday , Thursday sit ups and and no weight squats, I can say I have made improvement.
I started with 25# dumbbells isolated bicep and tricep curls netted 30 reps on the first set then 15 then 7 not resting in-between.
When I tried sit ups the first week I got 5 with a stabbing feeling in my stomach and 25 no weight squats.

After a month, I am at 45 reps with the 25# dumb bells to failure, 35 sit ups and 35 no weight squats. Im not doing the push ups because the weights are working those muscle groups.
When I hit 50 reps with the 25# I will jump back to the 50# workout just like old times, with a fewer reps to start. I am surprised at the quick gains at my age but not going to complain. At that stage I will add in more excersizes for shoulders than just the military press. I am getting some cardio from the reps to failure workout but likely will hang the heavy bag at some point. I even got the wife to join me, she is doing pretty good but still trying to come up with excuses to skip it. Is always more fun with a workout partner.

I have a cousin - her husband was a work out freak.
dropped dead on the way to the gym - crashed on a four way stop and killed an four year old.
a man has to know his limits - he didn't - and it was an unpretty outcome.

That happens, but willing to bet more people live longer healthy lives that exercise than those that don't.

Well walking.. as mentioned previously.. a lot of walking.
However the grandbugs are now in little league.
Nana has to keep up with them.
