What are you doing today, II

Just got done with some work on the pole building I'm putting up. Kind of slow going since I'm working alone but I got all the hard stuff completed. Tin roof may go on tomorrow.
Dew is gone so now I'm going to mow the lawn.
 
I borked my PCLinuxOS openbox install on my main labtop and could not recover it so I been busy reinstalling/resetting it up with my backup files I had saved. Yeah, the bork was my own fault. Damn my bad luck! :oops:

It's Tuesday. Aka. Dump day for us. I will be making a couple trips today hauling the scrap from the fifth wheel demo. My wife is going to the hospital to see the former mil again today. She's been going daily to make sure she's eating. She has mostly been sleeping all day while there but was up wandering the halls unattended trying to escape the ward she's in. She has an aide that's supposed to be with her all the time as well but somehow she slid herself down to the foot of the bed and escaped while she wasn't being watched. Lol
 
Cleaning up the area of our old barn that collapsed from a storm several months ago. Havent been steadily working on it, just when the feeling hits me that I feel up to it. This morning was one of those times and I and my son worked at the task until about 12:00 noon. Still more left to do when I get around to it.
 
Got to Ft Lauderdale on Monday. Flight was delayed by a huge storm. It has been raining, pretty much non-stop, since we arrived.

Looks like no beach today. There is supposed to be a nice children's museum. So that is our goal.
 
Going to the magistrate courts tomorrow. Leaving home at 4.50am to catch the train. Then breakfast and some rest before walking to the courts. I might come back before dark, hopefully, depending on how it goes.

Went to camp tuesday evening planned for 3 days but had to come home early thursday morning to pick up my grand daughters car that had to have motor replaced
I plumbed overflow from our toilet water supply tank on the 2nd floor to or ibc tote we use as a cistern the water comes from our well to feed them. in that process of that I had to get my 32f fiberglass ladder out to reach overflow pipe and yutzed my back (I'm not as limber as 20 year old Tom)
My wife was cutting grass last night up there and blades stopped turning I pushed it in the shed and said I'll look at it next trip.
got home with Granddaughters car no headlight problem she had and rear brake light pull the bulbs to get new ones tomorrow when I go to town.
 
I put some stone inside the new pole building to get it up to level (it was on a pitch).
Tossing the tin on the roof now. It may be too hot for me to install it today.

Going across the street in a little while to cut the grass on my vacant lot. After that I may cut the grass around the house yard depending on how I feel. I sprayed grass/weed poison yesterday along the sidewalks and fence lines and it is already showing some results this morning.

I have new belt clutch doesn't seem to be engaging she had a pile of $hit pilled on top of the deck grass twigs and small limbs maby early next week I'll get up there and take our house tractor up so she can cut while I repair

Went to the courts and came back in the evening. Bail decision was postponed to tomorrow, which means I must go back tomorrow. Again on the early morning train.

We got to Florida (after the travel day from hell) late on Monday. Rained until Wednesday afternoon. Still cloudy. We've managed to get out during breaks in the rain, there is a small park across from the house for Kobe to play at. Today we planned to get to the beach but, as it was cloudy until after lunch we decided to play at the park and go for a walk. Probably getting Chinese food for dinner?

Maybe not a place with Kobe tracking along, but have you been to Chima's in Fort Lauderdale?
Also had really good ice cream at Wilton Creamery. Gay and queer as all get out, but damn good ice cream

Not been to Chima's or Wilton Creamery but we have been to Publix and I got Blue Bunny mini ice cream cones! :ThumbsUp:
 
I took a day off from the fifth wheel flat deck trailer build I've been working on as I had a dentist appointment this morning. I still managed to change out both sets of taps in the fifth wheel camper this morning before leaving. I stopped for a couple of 30lb propane tanks and at home to load up the truck and head out to camp for a couple nights. My wife is staying in town as she's been going to spend most of the day with her former mother in law in the hospital every day.

The birdies are growing at camp.

I'm about 3 beer in and arguing with a Robin trying to 'xplain sumthing to her. She built her nest on my campsite and therefore must learn to share. 🤣 She doesn't see it that way and won't stop chirping.

I've been sitting at camp doing as little as possible all day arguing with a Robin. I did get some work done on a project this afternoon. Been on standby waiting to see if I had to go home today as one of the kids broke a bone. Thankfully it's just a toe and he can still walk. Good enough....cheers. 👍

I forgot to mention that it is very smoky. Eyes are burning. Wildfires northwest of us and producing lots of smoke.
