Yeah well we all know Aaron Rodgers got the MVP award and deserved. But I have to wonder if Jordy Nelson had he didn't drop 3 easy catches starting out if he would not have won it? He had 9 catches for 140 yards. I know if he would have caught the other 3 he could have had 12 for maybe 200 yards? This was on top of losing Donald Driver.

Yeah, lots of people talking about Jordy today, seems he never gets much attention - just shows up quietly and does a great job. He did an awesome job but Aaron deserves it imo.

I am SO glad we kicked Favres ass out of Green Bay. This is why. :cool:

I'm glad it occurred too. Now the whole Favre thing can finally be put to rest and forgotten about.

Being down in Texas, I don't know much about Aaron Rodgers but through the Favre episode and ever since, he seems to have carried himself with a certain dignity and professionalism. He seems like a class act.

I don't know how this got turned into a Brett whats his face thread but originally I questioned if Jordy Nelson should have been considered MVP over Rogers. I am not taking anything away from Rodgers, he is a great quarterback and did dam well all season and is for the most part the reason the Packers got to the Super bowl. But in the Superbowl game I didn't see Rodgers do anything great. He had it pretty dam easy and because of his front line he had no pressure, very few sacks and pretty much handed the ball off and or passed it off. No scrambling or pressurized throwing. Jordy caught some pretty dam tough balls and out did some pretty good DB's in my opinion. Just throwing out something for discussion.

I agree with the above but he did drop about 3 very catchable passes that could have put the game totally out of reach and probably would have won him the MVP.

And that was my original question. If he would not have dropped them first three passes how would it have effected the MVP voting?

Like I said I am not taking anything away from Rodgers or the whole team. My original question was what if Jordy would not have dropped the first three catches that should have been caught would the MVP voting been different.

And Mosi had it right, I did only watch the first half and part of the third quarter.
 
Even if he had caught all the dropped passes.....that would have just increased Rodgers stats. IMHO, Rogers would have still gotten the MVP.

yes i believe he might have been as well... but then again...Rodgers passing yards would have been increased only making him a shoe in for MVP...he would have been gone down the field for more points..possibly...but you cant drop passes under pressure like that..

would have could have...it was a great game

A good quarterback is nothing unless he has a good line in front of him. They can make or break a quarterback in my opinion.
