A graduating high school senior placed a plastic blowup doll in the ladies' room as a prank. The natural response in Police State America is to treat harmless pranks like acts of terrorism. Now he faces 8 years in prison.

Blow-Up Doll Prank Lands Student In Jail

I'm so glad I grew up when and where I did. Considering the stuff I did, I could have easily ended up in this guys shoes.

Its absolutely ridiculous, and common sense would have told him to have left the doll there unpackaged, but what high school senior is even thinking 'terroists' when all he wants to do is play a prank on the girls? Its the sort of immaturity that we all got up to in our teens, and the whole incident should be recognized for what it was, just a joke.

I can see why the Cops would have been called, but when it was discovered what was inside the package, judicial common sense should have taken over, and a stern reprimand administered. Nothing more. The 'intent' to harm or scare simply wasn't there!

hell at that rate I'd still be locked up for stuff that we did in high school.
I did a lot worse than that and all we ever got was a good ass beating with a big paddle. M80's in toilets, tear gas sprayed in the air handlers, live critters in the hallways. We raised a lot of ruckus at times and it never involved any police. This was during some turbulent times in our country as well. Today the PC crowd expects the police to solve all their problems.:hammer:

How do you figure this has anything to do with PCness? Sounds like overzealous cops and maybe a bit the patriot act might be more to blame. And I just realized the kid is black and we are talking about Rushville. It aint political correctness.

When I was a mere lad in high school, I would never have thought about such a thing. We were far to occupied with covering the top of the bowl in the girls john with Saran Wrap, lowering the seat and removing the light bulbs. Far more sophisticated and funnier'n hell. For a minute. Then we blamed the nerd, who never knew what hit him. Damn I miss those days!! It's almost 2:00 AM. Good night, all.
