peppmobile info

PEPP

New member
Weight is 2800 lbs, hp 160, motor 4cyl air cooled, fuel injected, seats 6 average sized adults, 60mph across a lake.

Mountain video can be found on youtube at this address [ame="http://youtube.com/watch?v=UMexBLvezzA"]YouTube - PeppMobile Snow Trials[/ame] This was taken at 8500 feet in sno-cat country.

First picture original concept drawing.

We saw there was a void between a snowmobile and a snowcat so we set out to change the world - ha! ha!

It is time for an affordible and repairable multi-passenger snow vehicle.

The average person does not need the expense of hydro-static drives.
Our Peppmobile is easy to maintain for the average JOE.

We have a Bombi and a Snowtrac - they are both good machines but getting old.

The Peppmobile is a trail machine with speed and has surpassed our expectations each winter.

Beautiful!

160 Horsies!?!? Subaru?

Are the tracks standard snowmobile tracks or custom made? They look a bit thin for a 'snow cat'. What is the PSI rating? I would guess about 2-ish? In the last picture, looks like wheels along the side of the tracks. Just for handling in the shop, or are they always there for getting across dry ground, etc? Riveted body work? Production plans?

How much will the average Joe have to shell out for one of these and when will it be ready? It looks like it has reverse? how does it do in deep powder?

Awesome Pepp!!!!! Welcome to FF. Glad you found us!!! :thumb:

No need! Lamtrac is almost ready to go for the upcoming season. No major repairs. Got a bunch of used tracks and cleets we'd be willing to sell "Scrap yard Mike".

As for the peppmobile, I'd seriously look into one once they become available/produced. I enjoy snowcatting and snowmobiling but find it hard to get the family involved all at the same time doing both. The peppmobile would be a great alternative.

Did a bunch of searches for this thing, and it seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. The wheels on the skis appear to be for driving on or across roads and/or in the shop.

The tracks/sliderails are from two Skidoo snowmachines, they are what appears to be from a Nordic style. But the "V's" in the tracks are what the "Moto-Ski" versions used after Skidoo bought them out, they made the same machines for a couple of years, but the Skidoo's were yellow and the MotoSkis were orange. The tracks were different in that the skidoo's had the straight across bar molded into the rubber and the Moto-skis had the "V" style as in the photos.

The exhaust comes straight up and has no muffler, just headers, would be pretty loud and flames coming up in front during the night runs...

Indeed...this thing is wickedly cool... I'd trade some 600's for one of these puppies!

Sheesh. Y'all know the Mainer too well. This is obviously an issue. I need to do something extreme like a youtube gas-ax'ing a 601 drive sproket in half or something... ok, bad idea...just trying to think of one of those 'prison-like' shock value visuals when the new guy joins the cell block. I was lucky last time I did time... got out unscathed by snarling to show my missing 7 teeth when I first hit the concrete yard.

Although, I thought a few 600's might work to flush the Pepp-man out of the brush. 8)

OK MR Pepp, whats it going to take to buy one 20K-25K-30K or do we need to make and American version? I have sent you messages on Ytube- and e-mail ? Huh
