They ran this story on the local news last night.
It really had me fuming.
If you watch the video of the bastard having fun with farm animals and it doesn't piss you off.. well...

Warning, attached video shows graphic animal abuse from undercover video. Viewer discretion Is advised.
The sentencing of a Plain City man for animal abuse today in Marysville points out the need to strengthen Ohio's animal cruelty laws. Billy Joe Gregg pleading guilty Friday morning in Marysville Municipal Court to six of 12 counts of animal abuse and receives another 120 days in jail, in addition to the 120 days he's already served. Gregg was charged with only second degree misdemeanors. A member of Mercy for Animals, an animal rights group, went undercover working at the Conklin Dairy Farm in Plain City to document and videotape the cruelty. Gregg apologized for his actions prior to sentencing saying he hopes people can forgive him for what he's done.

While the video made me pissed, made me cry and all that, you have to ask yourself why that sort of extreme abuse happens.
It's those sorts of people in our society who end up abusing children and women as well.
I bet this piece of work has already had some experience in that area.

likely. problem is, they didnt punish him the way ti should be done. dammit i need to be president. shits like this wouldnt see daylight for years

I wont watch the video , But I dont beleive anyone like that deserves to be in jail at the taxpayers expense , I would be more then glad to put him up or anyone like him out at our place & give him all the guidance he needs , I,ll even pay expenses . :shifty:

Tie him to a tree that's standing on an ant hill and cover him in molasses .
Then bus in the PETA crowd. :shifty:

as a matter of fact i agree and disagree with you. there should be two choices:

(and, btw, the choice being made by public vote)

either a giant fine and a few years behinds bars

OR

the exact treatment dished out to the animals, double fold, all of it, be dished out to him

and i am not a member of PETA. i love eating animals. but that is called life. kicking the shit out of one for fun, is NOT.

its called RESPECT for the Lord's creatures. i dont care if its a sheep or the friggin appalachian bullfrog. (whatever the hell that might be.)

it all comes down to this. and if my opinion feels skewed to you, then thats just fine.

Animals are meant for sustinence. Animals are not meant for release of aggression. if you have that much pent up rage, then you either need to smoke a joint, or punch a punching bag.

Sadly, cruelty to farmed animals in Ohio – no matter how egregious – is classified as a mere misdemeanor. Ohio has some of the weakest animal protection laws in the nation – ranking 43rd out of all 50 states. Further, no federal laws provide protection for farmed animals during their lives on the farm. Such inadequate state laws and the absence of federal laws lead to rampant abuse.

Pretty much says it here.

I like the Cowboy attitude improvement program.

You've got to remember that farmers handle and treat their animals slightly differently from most of us other "pet" owners but that is one sick and stupid bag of sh*t. I'm amazed that the farmer allowed him to treat his animals that way and then to allow himself to be video taped doing it? He's f*cking nuts. If you're in the dairy business you're in a lower margin sector anyway and allowing your stock to be treated like that is guaranteed to cost you money.

I've used an electric cattle prod on our cows occasionally or a plastic paddle to swat them on the ass when one decides that what she wants to do is more important than what I want her to do but if anybody treated our cows like that my S-I-L would kneecap them and I wouldn't do a thing to stop her. That sorry sh*t deserves everything he gets and then more.

This is the environment cows should have.

I couldn't watch a full minute of it. I basicly despise holstien cows but I could not have tolerated seeing one tortured like that. It takes a sick coward to harm an animal that can't fight back. No need to go on.

That guy should just have the tar beat out of him. And never be allowed to work around, or have animals, whether farm animals or pets.

Going back to Frank's comments, I fully understand how Farmer Brown would need to prod along stubborn Bessie or Daisy.
This guy is going to jail for 4 months. I hope he gets an earful from a few of the fellas while he's there.
This is one incident of animal cruelty that won't be erased from my memory for a long, long time.
