Gone But Not Forgotten
This is bad . Very little water in California and the forest fires are burning unchecked . WE are fortunate as we had 135% snowfall last winter and we are in pretty good standing on water here is Idaho . Its dry .......very dry and now we been having dry lighting every evening in the remote areas of Idaho . Its just a matter of time before we get hit with a big fire again . The feds don't really care if they put out the fires as it means more overtime for them . Very sad to watch our forest burn and then the feds refuse to let the loggers come in to harvest or harvest heavy areas that need to be cut . The feds have no idea how to manage a forest for healthy growth .

Heard the other day that folks in Calif may need to be relocated as water runs out in their areas .
I have tried hard to maintain a good fire line around the ranch , but still have lots of blow downs . I have had one man cutting trees for two weeks now . Lots of split firewood is lying all over the ranch .

It is going to get a lot worst this year before it gets better !!:sad:

We got quite a bit of rain in Arizona. By the weather map on the news I thought some of it also went into California.

Maybe they need to make desalinization plants.

And what happened 100 years ago and beyond when there was no water to be delivered by air for the previous billions of years?
 
We had a nice and unexpected rain over the weekend.
Things will bloom and honey will flow.
I have to plan a harvest to give them room for more.
As it was dripping I was in the natural Hot Springs in a canyon.
Beautiful tropical rain.
Too bad my dam is still far from being finished.
 
The problems in California were predictable.

The land cannot support the population that has migrated there, water has been diverted from many areas to try to support the population, the agriculture, etc but in the end nature will prevail unless they can start some large scale desalination/purification of sea water and then ship that inland!
 
Well, most of the South West is artificially populated because in the natural way the land could not support it.
Hoover Dam was for many decades the key.
There is a beautiful plan to bring water from Alaska and Washington unpopulated areas where they get 11 feet of rain a year into the start of Colorado and that will increase the water tremendously.
But them it is a lot of work and opposition.

Yes, the liberal Democrats/environmentalists do not like pipelines. So diverting water is not going to happen, no matter how many jobs it will create, no matter how many lives it will improve. The liberals take credit for what they don't do and take credit for what they didn't do.

I am an environmentalist and liberal and when I need water or guns or amo I go and get it.
I love animals and when I want to eat I kill them and eat them.
We took with us bear hunting one of this "conservative" gun rights defender that was all talk.
And when we shot the bear and butchered it on the spot to be able to transport it 1 mile thru the forest uphill he almost threw up and sworn he will never go hunting.
When majority needs something it will be done.

It is a mistake to confuse 'classical liberalism' with a modern 'liberal' as the two are VERY VERY VERY DIFFERENT. It is a HUGE mistake to call the founders of this nation "liberals" in the modern sense. In fact they would be shocked, appalled and insulted to be called such.

My daughter is a national latin scholar. She translates manuscripts for professors in college. But we are talking about ENGLISH not LATIN :hammer:

This FORUM uses the American English language. I would suggest that you adapt and learn. You are able to speak and write a reasonable level of English and I applaud you for learning it, but your arrogance prevents you from learning that the English language has many different meanings for same/similar words and phrases.

Despite what you may have learned in your Latin class, and despite what you think, the modern political "liberal" holds very few common political beliefs with the "classic liberalism" that was believed by our founding fathers.

Yes, there are many shades of the same color because no 2 people are the same.
But the color does not change.
Blue is blue and red id red.
Conservative - Maintain the status qua or go back to the way things were.
Liberal - Change rules to provide more liberties.
Perfect example.
US is the last and only developed nation where women are second class citizens with less legal rights then men.
And that is because of the conservative elements that would not like to see women have equal legal rights with men.
I can walk with no shirt anywhere in public and I do not risk to be arrested.
But my wife for sure will be.
Laws treat us different and any attempt to change it will be an accusation of immoral liberals.

If you willing choose to ignore facts that are commonly held, if you choose to ignore definitions of words that are commonly held, then there is no way that we can communicate.

You are showing total ignorance by demanding that the whole of society conforms to the definitions you make up in your own mind while the rest of society chooses to agree to use common definitions.

I am trying to be respectful and helpful when I clearly provide links to definitions, to explain terms, but when you refuse to accept that help then I am at a loss other than to presume you are not smart enough to learn.

Just wondering exactly what waterway you plan on daming up and where, and the list of fully executed permits to build such, along with impact studies and certifications of those performing the impact study.

distinction of being the only person on my Ignore List because of his totally intractable insistence that everyone else
acknowledge and bow to his personal definitions, not caring that they do not reflect normally accepted usage, which
puts him at odds with the "reality" he claims to accept above all else.

Based on this, the hilited sentence in your post will be correct in all regards if you replace "ignorance" with the similar
