A fairly quiet member many of you have met either West coast or midwest snow cat outings had a motor vehicle incident including burns and an induced coma and a helicopter ride.

details are vague, I do know he has a long commute to his day job and is a accomplished long distance ( iron tail ) vehicle operator.

He ( snow shadow) could use some positive energy thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for sharing. He is now in my prayers.

giant improvements. despite failing his swallowing tests. they reduced his sedation and with one eye spotted his wife and tried to speak. Grunts where all he could manage. they brought the sedation down some more and he saw his wife and managed to ask her out for lunch. they gave him a feeding tube and he promptly removed it.

He is sedated again. but doing better. this will be a long recovery. but that in itself is a blessing.

He knew his birthday, but not the year. Not sure I know my age...... ( most days)

sorry for the delay. He is going to make it.

The last of the tubes are out. They are hitting the PT, OT and speech therapy hard. goal is to get him out of the trauma unit and out of his Turtle shell. Rumor on the street is they have him walking ( assisted of course ) but damn, life is short hug your people that matter to you.

sorry for slacking here is a cut copy and paste of a message from the smart one in that marital union.....

Good evening everyone! So many amazing things this week, where to start? Josh has been working hard each day in therapy. His has graduated from is walker to a cane and with the therapist present walking without the cane. Today when he took his walk down the hall he almost had his usual gate. In occupational therapy he learned that typing is easier then handwriting a message. He has also worked to master the skills of the stairs and getting in and out of a car so that he can be released to come home. Thursday is when we all meet with the therapists and doctors to discuss his progress and what else needs to be worked on. Everyone reported that Josh is ahead of where they expected him to be and that they are ready to start planning for his transition home. New therapists in Wenatchee need to be brought up to speed and Josh has a few more skills to master but it looks like next week we
should get the ok to go home.
Please keep praying for his healing as he still has a long journey ahead even after we get home. Until next time..

Whoot Whoot!

Josh has made the transition to HOME!

He is checking of OT, PT goals one at a time and adjusting to home life and a new routine. the coolest testament to his progress is a text. seems silly but that is the world we live in. thank you for the positive thoughts prayers and energy.

so glad to hear he is home and getting slowly better with little steps and before he knows, he is back to living the good life, so sorry he had to go through this, pretty sure it will make hime stronger, sending my prayers and lots of positive thoughts his way
