Keep that Sh*t out there! I live right on the Pa. border in the big county of NY where it is all heading. Just hope it stays snow and not turn to ice. Going to be a mess in the morning for sure.

We're getting dumped on with snow. We could get up to 12". The 12" isn't bad but the wind that is to follow makes a mess of things.

Oregon is also cold.
No snow but it has not made it past 31 for a week.

Why isn't Toledo hi-lited on the map?

That crap is in our area (N of Pittsburgh) and is coming down as primarily rain but ready to turn to ice once we dip 1 or 2 more degrees.

Good question, Brian.

  • Tonight: Cloudy and windy with periods of rain. Low 32F. Winds ESE at 20 to 30 mph. Rainfall around a half an inch.
  • Tomorrow: Windy with a few showers in the morning then precipitation changing to a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon. High around 40F. Winds SW at 25 to 40 mph. Chance of precip 80%. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph. :hammer:
  • Tomorrow night: Windy with occasional snow showers. Low 16F. Winds WSW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches. :snow2_smi

I'll be staying inside for sure.
Just took Gretch out for a pee pee and she did her usual quick squat, 5 second dribble then pulled my arm out of the socket to get back inside.
Me thinks I'll find a carpet puddle before the night's over.
Cold rain coming down.

Uhh.....PG...instead of leaving puddles on the carpet, why don't YOU just toddle down the hall and go in that one door. Much more sanitary.

The call right now is 4-6 inches of snow then 1/4 inch of ice followed by 40-60 mph winds. At least the ice should cut down on the drifting. Have a 120 mile round trip to hospital for tomorrow for tests. Might have to wait on that.

About 45 minutes north of you it's coming down as a sleet/freezing rain...
Makes me wish I had room in the garage for my car.

You lot stop bitching. The delegates in Copenhagen have all agreed that this is the warmest year on record. What you people are experiencing just can't be happening. It's not scientifically possible. :yum::hide::hide:

rain here too. Windy as heck but none of the white stuff. :D

Too funny Frank!!!!! :yum: :yum:

-29F last night at 10:30 PM...........Burning lots of wood in the old stove but it is warm inside.... The high yesterday was a balmy -8F...... It just does not get any better than this.... unless you like the warm sunny beach breezes.....not :letitsnow:

How did it end up for you? It came down all night but luckily, the temp rose a couple degrees instead of dropped and we only got rain.

Heading for Rochester NY in a couple days. I hope they have the roads cleared by then.

Woke up this morning at 5am to a loud crack of thunder and lightning, at 31 degrees with it sleeting.
Right now it's blowing like crazy and sleeting/snowing.
NOW they're calling for wind gusts up to 60 mph.

The power just came on here a bit ago, after being out for about a day and a half. We got a couple of inches of rain and probably a couple inches of snow, but the snow mostly blew into New Mexico. There are lots of missing shingles and trees broken in pieces. Roads were closed all over. The moisture is a welcome break from the drought, but we could do without the wind.

Whew!
Don't know about you all, but those wicked winds have finally calmed down a bit.
Earlier, I ventured out to the store when they were still whipping up at a pretty good clip.
Tree branches and stuff strewn everywhere, and 1 large tree down near the church in the center of town.
Now comes the deep freeze.. blahh..
