e-readers

I have a very basic, black and white Nook that I inherited from my wife when she got her new, super-dooper color Nook for her birthday. Hers is essentially a mini tablet while mine is an e-reader and nothing more. It's not even back-lit but it's great for downloading and reading books but nothing else. Magazines and anything that relies on color to convey content or make an impact are a waste of time. My wife's on the other hand has no such restrictions.

We both love them.

I have a Kindle my brother in law gave me when he bought the newer version. It's good but there is just something about a real book that I like.

I felt much the same as you cat; but got a kindle fire a year ago. I love it.
I still read real books but now I do prefer the ereader. I can read whatever book I'm reading in so many different ways. Via the Kindle or on my iphone or on my computer. I usually have my iphone with me so I can read at the doctors office or while waiting on my wife. Anytime I have a free minute I can read if I want.
Plus I can easily download a book anytime from any place. So handy. I'm hooked.

We have two Nooks . Its great taking to Panama . WE load it up before leaving the states as it does not seem to work outside the states ????Can handle 1400 books !!!

I wish mine had a back lite on it . We have donated a lot of books since we got ours . A lot more room on the book shelves .
