20 years ago on 9/21/05 Forums Forums can alive. Junkman and I were on another forum. Junk was constantly in trouble for silly chit, like talking of some topic that was not allowed on that forum. Or they'd slap his hand for posting a silly cartoon. All this gave me an idea for a forum where any topic can be talked about. An 'Off Topic Forum'.

Junk and I spoke, he was very interested. I bought the software in August. Found an ISP that was not to expensive and loaded up the software. Finally got it going on Sept 17th 2005. By Sept 21st I was ready to give it a shot and gave Junk the url to get here. Junk was a very popular guy on the other forum and he then started inviting a lot of his friends from there to here. Many of them are still here with us.

All of the moderators here were part of the other forum, BCzoom, Melensdad, jpr62902, Big Dog and XeVfTEUtaAqJHTqq. I thank each and every one of them for their help and support over the years. All of these guys are a huge part of why FF is still chugging along. Melensdad had a snow-cat when FF started. He suggested a snow-cat forum and got that whole part of FF kicked off. That one idea is a big part of how FF survived. The snow-cat community are by far the biggest financial supporters of this forums. FF would simply not be the same without our snow-cat buddies.

We have so many long time members who have shared their time and wisdom with all here. I thank you all. Without you FF would be a boring place. A special thanks goes out to the one and only Pirate Girl. She has been with us for the most part of the 20 years and she has helped keep an eye on things as an unofficial moderator. She has a very keen eye for spotting spammers before they have shown their full intent. She is a key part of our team.

To all our long time members and our new members who have recently found our little playground, I thank you all for being part of this community. I feel I know many of you and have shared a part of what is going on in your lives. To me this is a very special place. A place to get away. To see things that the news will rarely tell us and to have a few laughs. I love it here. I hope you do too.
Cheers  To 20 more years of FUN.

I have no idea how I got here. I think it was Pirate Girls fault.
That said, Glad I landed here!
Thanks Lollie!.

I stumbled on tho this forum when dreaming about getting a cat to get to my camp in the winter (unfortunately never materialized) .
and stumbled on and noticed a few members from TBN that I was on too, still here not so much on TBN.
I miss some of the members back then, too many to mention that have gone to the great snow field in the sky.

I came here when I saw a post on a boating forum. Kinda hung around without signing up. I would have been one of the first 50, but alas, I was lazy.

Yep, I posted a few jokes on that boating forum (speed wake) and put a link to here in them. Jeff, the owner, was not real happy with me.
