1953 Tucker Sno Cat 443 Mt Washington WMTW Channel 8 Restoration

I
Intake and exhaust manifolds installed.

Procedure for installation is to gently snug the Intake to exhaust manifold bolts after applying antisieze to the shanks and threads. This allows the flanges on the block to align first.

Install the manifolds on the block then slowly tighten the nuts from center out slowly in many steps to 20 ft/lbs.

Then tighten the intake to exhaust manifolds slowly in many steps to 25 ft/lbs.

You can certainly see how much these manifolds suck in and conform under load.

Cast is a blast!

I don't get it Brian. Why didn't you replace that flat head with an LS engine as all Tucker restorations should have? Think of the time you would save.

Build no two the same continues. Panels lap on one side but on another. Different lengths cut angles notches.

Crude awesome!
