It would seem to me that those who so quickly shout "Racist" are the very ones who are themselves, the most rabid racist.
It is blatant, and quite definitely, obvious.
So why do they gain any traction?

Because there is a significant amount of our population that, despite programing to the contrary, remains adamantly racist.
