Which America Would You Prefer?

Every day it becomes more evident that we are in the fight of our lives to restore America to her original foundations, nothing could be more clear then the contrast between Norman Rockwell's America and the mob of Occupy Wall Street.

This is just one of so many of Mr Rockwell's wonderful paintings depicting America through his eyes and his God given talent.

Rockwell.jpg

Contrast the Rockwell America with the many images that are coming out of lower Manhattan and around our country, again this is just one of many images that tell the story of the America these self proclaimed marxist would like to see our country become.

queer killers.jpg

Read the sign these two homosexual beings are holding these are the people Nancy Pelosi has asked for God to bless. We also have Roseanne Barr calling for the beheading of bankers if they won't attend a re-education camp reminiscent of George Orwell's 1984 (2+2=5).

Anyone with ideas as how to combat this movement of anarchist and communist please post them on this site, twitter or facebook. This has to be nipped in the bud before the likes of the Van Jones' of the world get a strong foothold.

Do we want and are ready to fight for the Rockwell America or give in to the America of George Orwell's novel 1984?

Actually the second picture. Now you ask why. Well the first picture shows kids standing in what looks like at attention or following. The second hows people involved and wanting to improve the country, not accepting the status quo.

The second picture shows people following, I've never seen so many clueless lemmings in one place in my life.
Your idea of "improving" the country is way different from mine Joe.

Joe,

Don't look at the pose. Look at what the people stand for.

I am looking at the people. To me the boy scouts and other organization including public schools are working to make all follow what they think is right. The second I see people standing up and questioning what is going on not simply accepting it like lemmings. That doesn't mean I agree with their point of view but it great to see citizens standing up and exercising their rights to petition their government as well as using their freedom of speech.

As a Scout leader, I'm offended of what you perceive the Scouting organization to be, and what it teaches.
As for the rest of your post, it makes no sense to me. So, you support the right of the people to assemble but don't support their positions. Scouts assemble as well but we're not displaying signs to kill the parents.

Same here. As an Eagle scout alumni you really have no clue what the scouts are about Joe. Regardless, it's a VOLUNTEER , PRIVATE organization. No one makes anyone do anything.
The second pic disgusts me
"why kill yourself when you can kill your parents"

WTF???

Holy Toledo.
I was certain the first pic would have won out, hands down.
Sorry Joe, I don't get where you're going dear.

OK let me see if I can't make you understand what I'm saying. First off just viewing the pictures not the organizational purposed behind them here. The first pictures of boy scouts for example could be substituted with kids in school uniforms. All looking the same way viewing off to some distant object not shown. Kind of regimented and stiff.

Now the second picture is people excising their rights in a country that is free. Think about it there is also no real subject here either. It could of been WWI vets staying in DC commonly called the Bonus Army. It could of been civil rights movement, women's movement, Viet Nam Protest, even the Tea Party movement. They are all citizens of this country which is Free. I sometimes wonder what Freedom means to some of you.

We can't have people pledging allegiance to God and Country now can we? It's much better to kill your parents and have anal sex!

I don't see either the pledge of allegiance going on in the first picture. No hands over their heart and I see nothing about anal sex in the second. It is all perception folks.

Here's my take:
First picture--Standing tall and proud of this nation. Youth- hope for the future. Dedication. Good. America. Establishment.

Second picture-- Fuck you as we screw each other in the ass, and accuse the nation of doing the same to us. We're here for the cause of which we don't even understand ourselves. We and millions of others like us are marching in the streets.
This is the America we want. Live with it.

Well funny how if this was a tea party group you wouldn't see this comparison. Perhaps we should revisit some of the pictures of the signs they carried when starting out usually from the fringe of it. Oh well I give up I guess we simply see things different about what America is and can be. Most of you want to go back and I want to move on into the future.

Don't we all. I for one, as someone that grew up in the late 40's early 50's sure don't want to go back there either. If one really looks they really in many ways weren't the good old days.

If you have been to an Indianapolis Indians game of late it still looks pretty much like the first one. I am not sure why there is a problem with Pelosi wanting God to bless anyone. Rosanne Barr is such an idiot I dont know why anyone would be concerned with her stupid remarks. I agree with Joec, I am thankful I live in a country where both can, and do, exist.

What is the kill your parents thing about? Is Van Jones a momma killer. I never heard of that before r/t gay rights, you sure it just isnt something repulsive to cause more... Oh yea, nevermind.

I see the point made by Joe and Mak, however, grudgingly. Peaceful and legal demonstration is the backbone of our country. The protesters have as much right to protest as the Westboro crowd. However, the second photo and the participants are anything but peaceful and legal. The are trespassing on private property. Have no permit, and are disrupting the lives of other people. In addition encouraging the killing of anyone is illegal. If it were a tea party member doing it, other tea party participants would get rid of it and the occupy group would be all over them.

Given the choice, I will take the first depiction. I have worn 2 of those uniforms, and am still damned proud of it.

Dont you find it a bit odd that those two particular examples were used, I sure as hell do. Talk about trying to push their own agenda on others. :hammer:

I actually did pickup on that Cowboy. That is why I added that it didn't matter if I agreed with them or not. I ignored the sign as I did the uniform other than they was wearing them. The groups could of been any group for any protest or organization. My point is I have no problem with either the boy scouts etc nor do I have with peaceful demonstrations. It really doesn't matter the purpose as both are fine with me even if I don't agree with their agenda, they do have the rights.

Yup they could't have posted two more extreme opposites for pics, but after all that is all anyone goes for these days is the "shock factor".

Would it of had the same impact if they used this image for the second pic ? I kinda doubt it. :hammer:

From the standpoint of parenting, it is clear to me that the folks of the OWS crowd share the commonality of FAIL.

On the other hand, teaching kids right from wrong and the virtue of individual responsibility used to be expected of a parent.

Yes indeed, times have changed, but the later once served America well.

Hopefully it can once again. Or is it all now lost to this new thing called the "collective"?

I can't agree more with you.

While I disagree with the idiots in the second picture, I am willing to die and to kill, to protect their right to be idiots. However, should they act on their homicidal proclivities, I would be quite willing to hunt them down and exterminate them fo the good of society.

Peaceful protest and the right to believe what you want is a basic freedom. Acting on your beliefs can, and often does, violate the law. Violate the law, at a minimum, go to jail. Exercise homicidal tendencies because you are an idiot, you should be lined up and hung.

To be honest fellows I'm not sure I understand what the sign even means. I take it as be a bit of a sarcastic meaning aimed at perhaps bullying etc. Now I could be very wrong on that as I really don't know. I looked at is a generic protest meaning based on the original post heading.

In the US, at least currently, you're allowed to be wrong too. Heck, you're still allowed to be rich.
