INDIANA primary election results

Hillary is currently leading in Indiana:
59% for Clinton to 41% for Obama

Indiana has an "Open Primary" and while you declare which party you favor when you vote in the Indiana Primary Elections you can cross party vote; here is the voter breakdown based on the EARLY POLLING DATA:
  • Of the Republicans who voted for Democrats, 52 vs 46 voted for Clinton over Obama
  • Of the Democrats who voted for Democrats, 53 vs 47 voted for Clinton
  • Of the Independents who voted for Democrats, 51 vs 49 voted for Clinton

The LOWER the income level of the family, the more likely to they voted for Clinton
The OLDER the voter, the more likely they voted for Clinton

These are numbers released at 1 minute after the polls closed, they are obviously subject to change.

With regard to Obama and the NORTH CAROLINA primary, it was just reported that Blacks cast 1/3 of the total votes in the North Carolina primary election so far and 91% of the Black voters voted for Obama. Is that racist?

After the extremely heavy 'grass roots' effort by Hillary supporters, I predicted that Hillary would win Indiana, and win by a decent margin. I received yet another two calls after I made that post about all the calls from Hillary's supporters. I never once received a single call from Obama supporters asking for my vote.

Based on what I experienced, I didn't see where Obama had a chance in Indiana and he either doesn't have nearly the same level of supporters as Hillary or they had already conceded Indiana. What concerns me is that if somehow Hillary manages to get the Dem nomination, her fanatic supporters will be a formidable force as mindless robots following her every order.

Brent, you really need to get an 'unlisted' and 'unpublished' phone number. I've gotten tons of junk mail from NObama and Hitlery but have not gotten any phone calls.

Apparently they don't have to abide by the "no call" list. I generally only get calls from Wabash begging for money but no other unwanted calls. I don't understand how this election crap gets around the "no call" list.

I couldn't tell you how much junk mail I've received from any of the candidates. I stop by my trash can on the way in from the mailbox and pitch all that stuff before it ever makes it into the house. I even have a shredder there that we run anything through that actually has our name on it rather than "resident".

Have black voters ever had those kind of numbers in a primary before? If not it probably is racist. What if the whites where 91% for Hillary? I'd bet they'd call that racist.

Actually I think it is pretty good for US right now. Those 2 are bickering and while that is raising the interests of the Democratic party it is also splintering the voters into two polar opposites.

On the other hand, my very own home county is the one that denied Obama victory in Indiana. Lake county is in the shadow of Illinios, we get all our news media from Chicago and have been inundated with Obama from his home state media non stop this whole spring season. We have a black population of roughly 24% and they voted race, with 90+% voting Obama. Still he lost.

Among Democrats supporting Obama, roughly 1/3 claim they will not vote for Hillary in the General Election.

Among Democrats supporting Clinton, roughly 1/3 claim they will not vote for Obama in the General Election.

With Obama lacking support from the white blue collar vote, he ain't got a chance. Go BARACK ................... !!

Is it really a surprise that he carries the black vote everywhere, the blacks are voting on skin color hoping they'll get that big repression settlement with Barack. Makes me .

I truly believe Hilliary would be a better run for McCain but I welcome Barack into the race. I can hear the splat now ................

I'm deeply offended at your lack of racial sensitivity.

Barry Hussein Obama (the name he used to go by) should win just because he deserves to, because he is an oppressed black man.

If you ever wonder if there are any racial pressures at the polling places, check out this news clip of what a poll worker was doing in a predominantly black polling place when someone had the audacity to mention that they were going to vote for McCain when the poll worker told him that everybody voting there had to vote for Obama. Here's the clip Poll worker

I'm obviously not for Hillary, but I don't believe this is an isolated event and I think this is pathetic.

The wonders never cease. There is no WAY she didn't know what she was doing was wrong and illegal. It boggles my mind that she thought she could do that and get away with it.

I used to work the polls with my wife. It was very clearly stated to all workers that we were there to PREVENT that type of activity from happening!!! That was our job. Apparently she had a different, and very illegal, view of her job.

I don't even understand why the govt has any part in determining the representatives of these two organizations. It's just a big waste of govt time and money, especially since it appears these last two, Obama and Clinton, are probably still planning on duking it out for super delegates at the convention. Is there no end to the public time and money wasted by Dems and Reps? Go pick your leaders, then come tell us about it during the actual election.

ok..... go. :hide:

I think there's a political theory issue there. It's preferable to have all voters' participation in selecting the candidate, even after considering how messy that process is.

The alternative is the classic 'smoke filled room' where 'stakeholders' disappear then come out with a decision they don't have to explain to anyone. We've just seen 8 years of that sort of leadership. It didn't work very well.

But why should the govt be involved in the preliminary process of deciding who these private organizations/companys select as their representatives to the big show? We are probably still going to get a smoke filled room from the Dems.

Again, the dems and reps are private organizations. They need to handle their internal business themselves. Can the Elks club set aside a day to use the county courthouse and its employees to elect their new leader? I believe the dems and reps are using the govt to help them avoid a 'dark horse' candidate. If that is the purpose, then go rent some space in local areas staffed with your employees/volunteers and have the card-carrying members of your organizations file in and elect your leaders. Don't waste the taxpayers time/money doing it.

AND ANYWAY, I can't imagine a dark horse being any worse than what you've currently offered up!!! :pat:

Hmmmm, private companies renting space rather than using govt buildings...might stimulate local economies.

Ah, it gets better...

Since our mayor is a big supporter of Obama, it appears as if no action is going to be taken against this poll worker who clearly violated the law. I didn't see anyone smoking in the room, but this stinks of the worst type of back room politics. This unethical woman working the polls has become a sort of hero of the black community. Supposedly she wasn't afraid to speak up when she was "being held down by the racist rules" of politics.

Give me a break....!

If you want my opinion which I am sure you don't, but I think all of the votes at that polling place should be tossed away. How many people voted for Obama because of that one lady. Somebody should have told her the first time she opened her mouth to stick her shoe in it.

See? Now it's a big legal stink that will hit the courts. More tax dollars. If it was held privately as it should have been, the employee/volunteer would have merely been fired and things would move on. Or, if it were a private affair, her actions may have been acceptable according to the partys rules, and again it would be an insignificant event.

I find that the lower the education level of the idiot I am talking to the more I tend to be enraged by the level of government subsidy, protection and grandiose expectations they expect and enjoy. This woman may be an uneducated baby factory who lives off the teat of public charity and took the job of poll worker for some legitimate income and a hot lunch.

I am with Murph. Every vote in that polling place should be invalidated. Every time I even glance at this thread it pisses me off. I am going to quietly walk away now...

That is exactly what several people said when interviewed. I think the quote I heard was something like "the votes from that polling location have been contaminated and are not viable nor accurate".

:bsflag2:

If it's been happening for 8, then be truthful, it's been happening for 232 and will continue to happen.

It sucks but I agree! I worked the poles a few times in our town, you did not in any way manner or form suggest any particular candidate, period. As the 'sherriff' it was my job to make sure this did not happen, and that once someone voted they did not hang around. Too bad that this is happening in an already tense and rough times in our world.

The mayor needs to be jailed for NOT doing his job. Why does she feel that there are racist rules anyway, does she not get to vote like the rest of us 'racist' voters? If anything, she is a criminal or should be with her actions.

why do I picture the lady in the Katrina mess with the big screen tv, new place and complaining cause it aint no plazma? Probably dead on Bob. Most of the workers I have experienced are of the upper crust here.........if we have an upper crust, but I can honestly say I never saw anything like this going on. We even have to patrol the candidates AFTER they vote to stay 50' behind the lines of the door to the place. I loved doing that! I really only had one incident where a loud mouth wanted the results early and barged in after the 6:00 pm time, he was quietly led out, but man I would loved to have called the law on him.......
