What's your fav author or authors?Mine are Lisa Scottoline,Lisa Gardner,L.J. Smith,Lisa Jackson,Cassandra Clare,Nora Roberts,Heather Graham.

I'd have to say I have a couple.

Ayn Rand is not the best writer, often too verbose but the messages she portrays in her novels is amazing and live changing.

Jimmy Buffett, again, not the best writer, has some fun to read, enjoyable novels.

JRR TOLKEIN, on the other hand is an awesome writer and has amazing stories with a great, if underlying, positive Christian message in THE HOBBIT and the follow LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy.

hemingway (a moveable feast) & sylvia plath (the bell jar), j.d. salinger (the catcher in the rye), & arthur golden (memiors of a geisha). anthony bourdain (medium raw).

the authors & a few examples of thier writings.

Dr. Suess. An easy read most of the time and you can remember the story even years later. :)

I enjoy Clive Cussler for light reading . Hemmingway was a terrific author . Dang ! I got about 1/2 dozen !!!

R.A. Heinlein, E.E. smith, Asimov, David Weber, John Ringo, Anne Rice, Tolkien, Kipling, Krutman, Jean Johnson, Grizzard, etc...

David Weber, John Ringo they are great. They are keeping science fiction alive.

I like the Cajun Detective novels by James Lee Burke.
