What are you doing today, II

Quiet Christmas day here. The inlaws are over at my wife's sister's place today for the obligatory visit there. We tried including them in family meals in the past but just picture cousin Eddie from national lampoon Christmas vacation. That's her husband. To a T. So we've been spending the day playing games and baking cookies.

Little follow up from last night. I made it home the same time as my wife and kids arrived with her parents after the expedition left us stranded on the side of the hwy. It's over at the shop now.

Spent yesterday evening attending Church services and then time with my mother. Today was spent with the in-laws and tomorrow my oldest son and his family will come over and spend time with us and my mother.

Tis the morning after Christmas and all thru the house, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse

Pretty much the same here.

Despite the 'shift change' which included adding another dog to our home (is is a house or a dog pound?) we have slightly fewer people and a great deal more of calm and quiet.

Kobe will join us later today, he spend Christmas with Grandma. So I suspect it will get loud again.

After arriving at the airport my sister called to ask if they left an entire suitcase behind. YUP. Sure did. It's a nice one too. So if anyone needs a "carry on" size suitcase, I'll be listing it, and all the clothes inside it, for sale on Facebook Marketplace a bit later today.

Washer repair day today we have 2 washers, one for my work cloths one for the rest the work one broke a couple weeks ago with my leg problem I couldn't get down to look at it. The other one died yesterday so I had to go to laundromat. Today I got in to them and ordered the parts. We will be going to laundromat (who makes up the words???? lawndramat looks better to me) for the next week or so...

Finally got out to enjoy all the snow we've got. Daughter loves to ride but now she's demoted me to the old Bravo that I got for the kids 😏, it's actually not a bad machine to ride now, last winter got a skid from a Polaris put in in place of the original short track with very little suspension, wide ski skins and hand warmers. My "new" sled is over 20 years old now, Yamaha Phazer 500, just can't justify paying the price for a new machine.

Son is up from Florida with his girl Genesis. (We hope he stays with her).
Went to the AirZoo in Kalamazoo yesterday.
Today went to Heston Supper Club for giant prime rib.

One of these days we are going to have to meet up at the Heston Supper Club.

Near as I can tell that is the 1/2 way point between you and me.

I take Kobe to the Hesston Steam Museum a time or two each year. just by the Heston Supper Club. And that was a destination for many Notre Dame people when Dasha was in school. My brother ate there, but I've only driven past it and wondered if it is as good as the reputation. I suspect it is.

Challenged this morning fixing my wifes melco 16 needle embroidery machine she booted it up and it and it wouldnt start.
My first thought is this 1/01/01/2000 and the centennial bug got her machine ;)
Well that was 6 hours ago and i just got it machine was ok her computer had an issue, I had to do a reset for the the software and that worked. They have awesome web help files to walk you through troubleshooting the machines and software.
