Was WWII fighting more intense than the fighting in Vietnam?

There really is no comparison of the two wars.
Men and women who fought WWII saw far more casualties. That Amputations and crippling exceeded WWII it was because of life saving operations that saved a soldier vrs them dying. Putting the two groups, death and injuries, together indicated Vietnam was far more vicious, cruel and deadly.

One other big difference between the two wars.

The men and women who came home from WWII were welcomed as heroes. Vietnam vets were scolded for a war in which they were conscripted against common sense. Not their fault but the public still punished them whilst lauding the cowards who ran to Canada.

Unfortunately, no lesson seems to have been learned as we did similar actions in the Middle east and have suffered horrendous casualties, again for senseless military endeavors.

President Trump is different from the leaders of the last 30 years. Instead of sacrificing youth and treasure to win wars against our enemies, he wants all wars to cease. An endeavor with a worthwhile purpose. Sadly, many, especially, on the left, are interfering with what should be considered a noble intent.

Endless war hasn't worked for our nation, or the world. President Trump doesn't what military conflict. He wants peace. After ove40 yeas of sacrificing our youth and treasure, you would think we would have learned something. Nope!

War has never made sense, just keep sending more people until the enemy can't kill them all then claim that you are the winner.
