US to Attack Venezuela? Reports say imminent attack likely.

Drugs. About time we do something real about the problem. And the bar majority of Venezuelans will get their freedom back.

But then again, Trump isn't keeping his word. Well. Not exactly.

And more information as now media sources publish satellite images showing that ships are positioning for a possible land strike on the Venezuelan soil. Over 10,000 US forces are now in the "Caribbean Theatre"

FULL STORY AT LINK ^^^

The United States has intensified its naval presence in the Caribbean, with satellite imagery confirming the deployment of the USS Iwo Jima and USS Gravely, now stationed within striking distance of Venezuela.
The buildup follows recent U.S. airstrikes on cartel-operated vessels allegedly linked to Caracas and signals Washington’s readiness to escalate operations against what it calls “state-enabled narcotrafficking networks".
Newsweek has reached out to the State Department and Venezuela's Foreign Ministry for comment.
The positioning of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and the guided-missile destroyer Gravely represents a dramatic escalation in the region, underscoring the Pentagon’s growing readiness for possible military action.
President Donald Trump has said the campaign aims to dismantle drug-trafficking operations in Latin America, but the size and sophistication of the U.S. deployment have fueled speculation that Washington may be preparing for limited strikes or broader enforcement operations near Venezuelan waters.
Caracas, meanwhile, has denounced the buildup as a direct “provocation” and accused the U.S. of orchestrating sabotage plots against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

What To Know

Images by the ESA’s Sentinel-2 satellites shows the USS Iwo Jima and her Arleigh Burke-class destroyer escort heading westward after being spotted off the coast of Grenada over the past few days.
The warships are now approximately 124 miles from Venezuela’s La Orchila Island—home to one of the country’s key airbases and radar facilities. Their approach places them within immediate operational range for amphibious or precision strike missions, intensifying pressure on Caracas as regional tensions climb.

USS Gravely’s Controversial Visit

The USS Gravely recently completed a four-day stay in Trinidad and Tobago before departing Thursday. During the visit, U.S. Marines conducted joint exercises with local defense forces, deepening the rift between Washington and Caracas.
Venezuela called the destroyer’s presence “an act of aggression,” while U.S. officials insisted the visit was part of regional counter-narcotics cooperation.

The Role of USS Iwo Jima

At the heart of this deployment, the USS Iwo Jima carries more than 1,600 Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (SOC).
Embarked with the amphibious transport docks, USS San Antonio and USS Fort Lauderdale, the group brings advanced aircraft including AV-8B Harriers (ground attack plane), AH-1Z Vipers (ground attack helicopter), and MV-22 Ospreys (a multi-use, tiltrotor cargo aircraft).
These assets enable amphibious assaults, precision raids, and rapid response operations across the Caribbean theater. . .

There's a reason that these people want to come north to the United States.

..... Get rid of the "problem" and maybe they will want to stay in their homeland and stop being a burden on US.

I would suggest that the main Drug lord of Venezuela is a threat to our nation and its population. That he happens to be the head of state no longer matters. He has made his country an enemy of our State.

Put him, his organization, and his cohorts down.

It would be good for the people of our nation, and his as well.

Looks like Trump is trying calm the oil market by downplaying an imminent attack.

Trump Dismisses Talk Of US Airstrikes Inside Venezuela

President Donald Trump says he’s not considering strikes inside Venezuela as part of his war against drug trafficking, at least for now.
The United States has built up a large military presence in the Caribbean in recent months, with fighter jets, warships and thousands of troops.
That presence will significantly expand in the coming weeks with the arrival of the Gerald Ford aircraft carrier strike group.
On Friday, when asked by reporters on Air Force One if media reports that he was considering strikes within Venezuela were true, Trump said: “No.”
It was not immediately clear if Trump was ruling out future strikes inside Venezuela or simply saying no final decision had been made yet.
In recent weeks, Trump has publicly said his administration will carry out strikes against drug-related targets inside Venezuela.
“The land is going to be next,” Trump told reporters last week.
The U.S. campaign in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific has already targeted at least 14 boats that Washington said were involved in the illegal drug trade, killing 61 people. Trump has previously confirmed he has authorized the CIA to conduct covert operations in Venezuela.
While the exact timing of any land strikes is unclear, officials close to Trump had suggested it could be soon.

I have to question...are reporters really that dence? Do you honestly believe that trump is going to tell the press that yes, the states are going to attack. May as well send their leaders a written notice. Did Japan announce to the world that they were planning an attack on pearl harbor beforehand? War is a chess game. You have to place your pieces on the board WITHOUT ALERTING THE OTHER PERSON of your attack plan.

Today the media is just plain dumb and indoctrinated. Nothing is fact checked there are no editors any more.

Looks like Drug Lord Maduro is looking for arms for his military.

Maduro Urgently Seeks Military Aid From Russia & China With US Bulls-Eye On Venezuela

President Trump said on Friday that he's yet to make a final decision on launching a military attack on Venezuela, but President Nicolás Maduro is not waiting around while taking the US leader's word on it.
Maduro is reportedly urgently reaching out to Russia, China, and Iran for any possible military aid, including defense items which may have already been negotiated or are in the works. The Washington Post says it's obtained internal documents showing such recent and high-stakes requests.
"Amid a buildup of American forces in the Caribbean, Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro is reaching out to Russia, China and Iran to enhance its worn military capabilities and solicit assistance, requesting defensive radars, aircraft repairs and potentially missiles, according to internal U.S. government documents obtained by The Washington Post," the publication reports.
"The requests to Moscow were made in the form of a letter meant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and was intended to be delivered during a visit to the Russian capital by a senior aide this month," WaPo continues.
And separately, Maduro is said to have sent a formal letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping seeking "expanded military cooperation" between the two countries in order to counter "the escalation between the U.S. and Venezuela."
Maduro in it seeks to expedite Chinese companies' production of radar detection systems based on prior deals, in cooperation between Caracas and Beijing which has long been an open secret.
"In the missive, Maduro emphasized the seriousness of perceived U.S. aggression in the Caribbean, framing U.S. military action against Venezuela as action against China due to their shared ideology," the documents state according to the Post.
Transport Minister Ramón Celestino Velásquez is also reported to have sought military equipment from the Islamic Republic of Iran. He conveyed that his country needs--
  • "passive detection equipment"
  • "GPS scramblers"
  • "drones with 1,000 km [600 mile] range"
Meanwhile the growing list of US naval assets that Maduro is facing in the Caribbean region...
But the reality is that despite obvious cooperation over the years - including Russian, Chinese, and Iranian military assets and personnel showing up at the occasional Venezuela military parade or state ceremony - these countries have their own problems to worry about, and are unlikely to want to poke Donald Trump at this sensitive moment in America's "own backyard".
With US sanctions on, and prior examples of interdictions on the high seas, even if Russia or China wanted to quickly assist Maduro as he's under the US bullseye it could prove logistically impossible.

The Russians are busy losing in Ukraine. The plan I believe is to cause the military to depose Maduro. He isnt popular and the military doesnt want to mess with America. The CIA and Delta force is embedded there. Thats their job
