US Special Forces capture Venezuela's Maduro & his wife to charge them with crimes

Looks like REGIME CHANGE is happening as we eat breakfast.

Who is in charge of the country now? The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the opposition leader in Venezuela who opposed Maduro but she had to flee the country for her safety. Is she going back? Is she already back? Without backing from the military can she actually lead?

To be sure, Maduro has supporters in the country too. Will they try to gain power?

President Nicolas Maduro is in custody on the USS Iwo Jima, after being captured by US Special Forces, and will be prosecuted for "narco terrorism" charges as a drug trafficker.

Anybody know what the explosions shown in the videos on the net had hit and who caused them?

There are reports that an airbase was destroyed by the US military. So that is probably what SOME of the explosions are. But there were several scattered explosions and I have no source for why/what those were.

I would not be surprised if some explosions were diversionary explosions to draw attention to various different sites so as to reduce any forces available that could oppose the US Special Forces.

Excellent summary from ZeroHedge:

President Trump discussed the military action in Venezuela with perhaps the most notable aspect of his address being the confirmation that the US will run Venezuela until a safe transition can be undertaken:

  • *TRUMP: AT MY DIRECTION, US CONDUCTED OPERATION 'MIDNIGHT HAMMER' IN VENEZUELA
  • *TRUMP: AIR, LAND, SEA USED TO LAUNCH ASSAULT ON CARACAS
  • *TRUMP: ASSAULT WAS TO BRING MADURO TO JUSTICE
  • *TRUMP: US SUCCESSFULLY CAPTURED MADURO 'IN DEAD OF NIGHT'
  • *TRUMP: CALLS MADURO A DRUG 'KINGPIN'
  • *TRUMP: MADURO WILL STAND TRIAL ON AMERICAN SOIL
  • *TRUMP: NO AMERICAN SERVICEMEMBER WAS KILLED
  • *TRUMP: NOT A PIECE OF AMERICAN EQUIPMENT WAS LOST
  • *TRUMP: WILL STAGE SECOND, LARGER ATTACK IF NEEDED, BUT PROBABLY NOT NECESSARY NOW
  • *TRUMP: WE WILL RUN VENEZUELA UNTIL WE CAN DO SAFE, PROPER, JUDICIOUS TRANSITION
  • *TRUMP: CAN'T TAKE A CHANCE THAT SOMEONE TAKES OVER VENEZUELA
  • *TRUMP: REPEATS CLAIM THAT VENEZUELA SEIZED, SOLD AMERICAN OIL
  • *TRUMP: US OIL COMPANIES WILL SPEND BILLIONS ON INFRASTRUCTURE
  • *TRUMP: PARTNERSHIP WITH US WILL MAKE VENEZUELANS RICH, SAFE
  • *TRUMP: VENEZUELANS WILL BE HAPPY
  • *TRUMP: REASSERTING AMERICAN POWER IN 'OUR HOME REGION'
  • *TRUMP: US RETAINS ALL MILITARY OPTIONS UNTIL DEMANDS MET
  • *TRUMP: WE HAVE SUPERCEDED MONROE DOCTRINE
  • *TRUMP: WHAT HAPPENED TO MADURO CAN HAPPEN TO OTHERS IN VENZ.
“We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said Saturday at a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

“So we don’t want to be involved with having somebody else get in, and we have the same situation that we had for the last long period of years.”

Additionally, President Trump said Saturday he would allow American oil companies to head into Venezuela to tap its massive crude reserves:

"We're going to have our very large United States oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country," Trump told a press conference.

I wonder how the oil company's will embrace this ????
When my Father worked at the Sun Oil refinery they got a lot of crude from Venezuela in the 60'& 70's the oil was high sulfur (industry term sour oil) took extra processing not much worse than the oil from the US fields.

These company's are probably hesitant to spend money unless there are guarantees on their money.

AI over view of the company's involved with Chavez social party.

Major oil companies like
ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips were effectively kicked out of Venezuela under President Hugo Chávez in the late 2000s when they refused to cede majority control of their assets to the state oil company, PDVSA, leading to nationalization and seizures, while others like Chevron and Total accepted renegotiated terms to stay, though some, like Chevron, later faced challenges due to U.S. sanctions. These actions resulted in significant international arbitration cases, with companies like ConocoPhillips winning large awards, though payment remains uncertain.
Key Companies Involved:
  • ExxonMobil & ConocoPhillips: Refused to accept PDVSA majority control in the late 2000s; their assets were seized, forcing them out.
  • Chevron: Accepted new terms, stayed, and remains the last major U.S. oil company operating in Venezuela under special licenses.
  • Total, BP, Statoil: Also initially agreed to operate under the new state-controlled model.
Why They Left/Were Forced Out:
  • Nationalization: Venezuela's government under Chávez sought to regain full control of its oil sector, forcing foreign companies to accept minority stakes or face expropriation.
  • Contract Renegotiations: Companies refusing to renegotiate contracts to give PDVSA control (over 50%) had their operations taken over.
Aftermath:
  • International Arbitration: ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips pursued international arbitration, winning significant compensation awards for their seized assets.
  • Sanctions & Waivers: Recent U.S. sanctions have complicated operations, but Chevron has received specific licenses to continue limited activities.
In essence, it was less a direct "kicking out" and more a forceful restructuring of the industry where companies unwilling to yield control found their assets seized and operations effectively ended.

Explain please.

Trump today said he will sell China all the Venezuelan oil they need. Seeing as we now control the oil fields, Trump will have the final say.

Let's go further. Cuba buys all their oil from Venezuela. That spigot has run dry for them. They have no money to buy elsewhere. Right now its a race to the bottom for Cuba & Iran. Oil can't leave Bandar Abbas because the dock workers are fighting the IRGC and trying to kill the Ayatollah. I love 2026 already.

Imagine 2026 with a free Cuba, Iran and VZ. All do to Trump. Holy shit.

I know you're "tired", but that scenario does not mean we will be buying oil from China. China needs to import oil in order to grow and prosper. If they sell to anyone it will be India.

Iran oil is likely to be sketchy for a while. The Chinese will import from Russia. So how does that mean we will be buying from China?

I am still confused

I don't know if it was right to go in and take out Maduro.

I do know that he was a bad man and the celebrations in the streets are proof enough that it is good that he is gone.

The fact that we have leftists protesting here shows how unhinged the leftists in the US are, and how they are mentally unfit for life and society.

I'm not even sure if I support taking Maduro out, I oppose 'nation building' in general terms and really don't want to get involved in any wars. But that said, I'm willing to give all this a chance, as Trump seems to be the transactional leader rather than a traditional failed nation builder like the Bush model in Iraq.

All that said, this video is hysterical

All I know is this keeps China and Russia out as a neighbor except for in Cuba. Which is next . We MUST do anything and everything we can to keep them on the other side of the world.
This also poses issues for Iran, and the timing is perfect.
"Legal" or not, I sort support it 100%.
Side benefits:
1) Freedom or at least back to what Venezuela was, a thriving wealthy society.
2) The other narco country's leaders are now not sleeping well at night.
3) Drug flow will be slowed.

I don't see Venezuela thriving again there's too much corruption down to lower levels, same as India and Pakistan its all grease palms all the way down to the bottom of the food chain.
Sort of like the US is turning to give me society give money and I'll get you voted (read Minnesota here) in no matter that prices double they got money in their pockets short term but long term they will end with the short stick and be living under a bridge that is crumbling above your head.

I am confident that President Trump is doing the right things here with Venezuela. But, I cannot help but wonder if some of his motivation is to embarrass the left. And unparticular, the leadership of the Democratic party.

They make it so easy.

Meanwhile the world now knows not to try and outsmart him. Moreover, not to try and embarrass America, much less him, either.
If President says he wants to do something, it is likely to get done.
I would advise that his detractors stand back.
