I guess we're on different wave lengths. I'm talking about government interference in wages prompting the onset of health care becoming an expected perk as part of your compensation package. Had the government stayed out of it, we might still be dealing with our own health insurance in the free market. Of course there are other factors where they meddle in the rules and regulations that drive up costs, but I'm referring to the feds screwing up everything they touch, unintended consequences. Not talking about the GI bill, Nixon, tax brackets or tax rates.

My point in a nutshell is you can't blame Obama for something that has been in effect for decades and started by a Republican to boot. Insurance offered by an employer until Nixon was on the employer's term until that time when he mandated it and later adopted by the congress.

It is like saying that school grades are micro managed by the POTUS is totally crazy yet I see these statements voiced here also as a way for Dems to get more votes.

I was responding to a number of other posts at that time as well as now Red and didn't see you mention Obama. Actually it has only been screwed up since the government got involved making it part of the employment laws prior to that most people didn't actually have insurance and doctors would work with them.

I was responding to a number of other posts at that time as well as now Red and didn't see you mention Obama. Actually it has only been screwed up since the government got involved making it part of the employment laws prior to that most people didn't actually have insurance and doctors would work with them.

Other than the other mods, nobody here knows that I had shoulder reconstruction surgery this last Thursday. It's a large orthopedic operation with dozens of orthopedic surgeons on staff who enjoy part ownership because of a very wise plan set forth by my personal physician there who is the majority share holder. They donate money and services to nearly every school and athletic team in our area and are the 'official' team physicians.

This last Thursday when I was going in for 11th surgery, I was sorry to see that the majority of their staff were retiring and my (I'm not going to name him) personal friend and surgeon has sold off his controlling interest and is retiring as well after he got his two surgeon sons placed with major metropolitan hospitals in a working and management positions. After nearly 30 years, the face of our orthopedic care is taking a major shift in directions and downsizing. Not one single one leaving will say that the so called "Obama-Care" isn't a reason they have opted to take their money and run. It's totally pathetic that the majority of people don't have a clue what Odummer has just done to our healthcare system. And, a resounding NO, is what you'll hear if you ask if Odummer has helped our country's healthcare in any measure.

I'm glad I seem to have all of my broken parts fixed for now. I've no desire to go doctor shopping for new doctors fresh out of medical school who may, for a while, be willing to work for peanuts that likely won't hardly cover their student loans. Yet another aspect of our country that Odummer has destroyed. I guess with the overall population of our country proving that they are indeed as stupid as standardized testing compared to other countries has seemed to show, our country as a whole deserves to witness what was once the greatest nation on earth slowly dragged to it's knees. For the first time, I am actually contemplating spending my retirement years in a different country if idiots continue to put complete morons such as Obama in power. I'm just fortunate that I was given the incentive to aim for higher achievements and succeeded before the disaster of the Obama generation came to be. I'll be fine, but I'm afraid for my children and grandchildren. Our current administration has their potential for success in their crosshairs and are itching to pull the trigger.
