Why not call it the "zoomer edition" and not mention 5th grade? We don't have to say that it's at a 5th grade level :hide:

I missed 16 and 19 and I'm going to contest a couple of your answers.

Number 8 is listed as 5+2-1x6
In math, the multiplication comes first so it's really 5+2-(1x6). That means 5+2-6 = 1. I say the answer is 1.

I say #13 is C, not B. You capitalize the first word of a sentence.

I'm with zoomer on the above. Apart from that I missed 6, 7, 16 and 19.

Does that mean that I'm going to held back a year???? :yum:

Zoomer- C is correct- don't know what possessed me to punch the wrong key.......

as for the other............
it's a simple progression; 5 + 2 (7) - 1 (6) x 6 = 36

I don't think I saw any question containing parentheses until the 8th grade..........

I'm going to have to differ with you on the math. Multiplication and division always occur before addition and subtraction.

Plug your equation into a google search and the calculator results give the answer of... 1.

occur Where ? and what's that got to do with the question ?
do me a favor ; bring up the calculator on your desktop, or if there's none installed, go get one............... punch in the progression just the way it reads.........

5+2-1 x 6 =

Now, if your still not convinced, you're gonna have to argue with yourself, 'cause I'm moving on.............
