Tom & Jerry!

Off from work due to surgery.

First, Drew Cary (sp?) sucks as the price is right host.

Nephew is down with the in laws today and he brought his Tom & Jerry cartoon cd's.

I forgot how GREAT they were. Even being over 40, I forgot how funny and entertaining they were.

Don't watch any T.V Saturday mornings anymore, but when I did look, honestly looked like a bunch of crap lately (yeah, sounding old).

Made me think of Go speed racer and the Magilla Gorrilla show with Mush Mouse and Pumpkinpuss (sp?).

How about a thread on some of the greatest Saturday morning shows/cartoons there ever was?

Just made me think.

I am not sure you can beat Tom and Jerry!! I use to live with a couple of other guys and I would come home from Vo-Tec school and they were usually watching Tom and Jerry drinking beer. We would laugh our ass off.

I always felt sorry for the cat.

Oh we did watch the Road Runner too. Acme this and Acme that.

Funny

"Conjunction junction, what's your function?" - Remember Schoolhouse rock?:coolshade

Hey! Hey! Hey! It's Faaaaat Albert! :yum:

Pink Panther.

Scooby Doo. :shit5:

How about "Ultra Man"...Anybody remember that one?

Any of the old Warner Brothers cartoons were good.

Hmmm, "I'm just a bill" from schoolhouse rock, never forgot that one:D

Hiayata (sp?) was the man! Man, as a little kid I would of died for the REAL Beta capsule :D (a painted cardboard tube was good enough for a small kid though) Forgot all about that show and some of the things I did as a kid.

Popeye. Ever seen the really old one I guess they were the 30-40's but they were very funny for kids but had a lot of adult humor in the background. They were still funny in the 60's but to kids.

The Bullwinkle Show.
Remember that little dog Mr. Peabody and his sidekick Sherman?
That was my favorite part of the show.
Mr. Magoo, The Flintstones.
The original Looney Tunes cannot be beat.
That witch with the hair pins that used to fly out when she'd take off on her broom cracked me up.
Bugs himself was a smart aleck. I like that in a rabbit. :)

Top Cat and his side kick Bennie

Huckleberry Hound

Anything with Donald Duck in it .

Theres no need to fear , "UNDERDOG" is here

The Jetsons and good "ole Astro" the dog . I think Jane was messin around on George !

I have always been a Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner hour fan. I remember being annoyed when the local news interupted the Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour back in 1973. A munitions train had caught fire in Roseville, Ca, and 500, 1000, and 2000lb bombs were detonating.

I got the first 12 episodes of Speed Racer on dvd a little while back.
