Grammy-winning country singer Naomi Judd died Saturday at the age of 76, her family revealed. ​

Ashley Judd, Naomi's daughter, made the announcement on Twitter, claiming the cause of death was related to Judd's deteriorating mental health. ​

​

"Today we sisters experienced a tragedy," Judd wrote. "We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory."​

They were hinting at it being a possibility of suicide.
I know throughout the years she was very open about depression and anxiety.
I don't get how someone so open and in the public eye can do this.
It's not a good way out, but for some I suppose it's the only way OUT.

I think it was the 2010? Indy 500 where the Judds performed.
My son Tyler said he had a pit pass that year, which I clearly do remember him going and saying he got the chance to talk with her while getting an autograph.
He said she was the most real celebrity he ever met.
He's going to send me a picture if he can dig it up.

Several sources are confirming that it was indeed a suicide
So far they haven't said how, not that I'd even want to know.
