Just dodged a microburst

I was at a car show when an ominous looking storm skirted just past us within a few hundred feet. It hit the city just east of us.

You got lucky it missed you.

Last year a micro burst hit the outskirts of the town about 8 miles north of me, killed a woman, did a lot of property damage in a very localized area. Everything around it was fine, but the area it hit hardest was like a war zone.

Down in Texas that is usually the opening act before a tornado.

We just had another damaging storm pass through. Our phones were all going off with warnings to take shelter. I took a couple pictures outside as it passed. I heard trees snapping and breaking down by my shop. Haven't been out yet to inspect an damages. Someone else captured these pictures of the cell. There's a video of it passing by as it was swirling.

We're bracing for round 2. It cleared up after this morning but apparently there's a second storm cell coming up from Minnesota that's going to hit us. Wish they'd keep their weather down there. It's interfering with my outside projects. Maybe we should get a few premiers up here together and draft up a letter telling you mericans to keep your weather down there just like a bunch of state representatives got together and complained about the smoke from Canadian wildfires. Same exact thing.
