I certainly hope this topic is not to inappropriate, but I had a interesting conversation with a few co workers the other day about this. How it got brought up is beyond me!!! But anyways, a co worker of mine believes that masturbation or self pleasure is a form of cheating if your spouse is not around. Even more so if you are indulging in looking at pictures of pornography and not of the person you are with....

I disagree.. I know my ex had a porn collection that he would view often and while it never really bothered me, I figured it was better than him out doing something with someone else. I would also rather him "relieve" pressure and stress if I am not in the mood and be able to calm down.. lol.

I mean we all have done it I think... My ex had a job out of town and would be gone for weeks before coming home. So I have my own private things for those times where I am alone for awhile... and I never felt guilty about it. I mean I would tell him and in fact it would make him go crazy in a good way.... :doh: I think I should really stop there!!!! but anyways what do you think?
 
I would think it depends on the relationship and what you and the spouse have commited to each other.

It also might depend on what and of whom, you are thinking when you do.

But generaly speaking, I would say, no.
 
nope. i would often self-pleasure directly in front of him if i wasn't satisfied after we were together. he was quite okay w/ that, & would join in again if his guy stuff cooperated. & both my exxes loved watching me take special baths.

I would be damn careful having this conversation at work . Anything dealing with sex is taboo and can lead to sexual harassment charge if someone gets offended . Happens all the time . Once that happens , good luck finding another job .
Save it for the Bar or the girls night out discussion .
 
you'r right Allen, but remember along with the bar, locker rooms are also a place where you can have those types of discussions.

I know I should have ignored the conversation, but most of these people know each other outside of work as well and pretty laid back.. so I am not to worried about it. :wink:

I think that she did. I think that we all play with ourselves at some time or another. DH is 75 and I am 71. There are times when it just doesn't happen. Neither of us is upset if the other finishes themselves off. The most important thing is that we still love one another after 49 years of marriage.

Maybe it is best to seek advise from an anonymous source such as a forum. Yea, we're a bunch of old guys but having been around the block a few times, we should also have some wisdom.
