Not only did AI-assisted consultants carry out tasks 25 per cent faster and complete 12 per cent more tasks overall, but their work was also assessed to be 40 per cent higher in quality than their unassisted peers.

Ai helps with things it's good at and hurts with things it is bad at. The problem is that it isn't really clear what ai is good or bad at.
 
I think it is much like a gun. In the right hands it is great. In unscrupulous hands it is a nightmare.
I'm in awe of some of the things they have shown it accomplishing. I'm downright scared by other overreaches I've heard of or seen.
 
What is it good at ?

Not writing Amazon review summaries... not writing home improvement articles...
 
Sadly, it is an interesting note of my modern life, that at 77 years old, most of the women interested in my well-being are AI. :(
 
I find it useful, mainly as a quick way to get information on machines without spending hours searching. All the machines I end up getting to repair seem to be rare and hard to find info on, so I can com in, ask the AI bot, and get back to work in a few minutes. It is able to search the web far quicker and more efficiently than I can. And, it can write a poem about you, for you! What could be better?!!🙄

Disclaimer: DO NOT take crucial info (i.e., oil types, max rpms, max temp, etc.) for granted. It CAN get things wrong sometimes, and if it got the wrong thing wrong on a gullible person, it could end badly!
 
Newbe at ChatGBT. I SIMPLY asked: create a plan to fully restore “x” vehicle to original condition. It gave me a very useful outline to follow. I was able to continue the conversation by asking additional questions and expanding certain areas where I needed more depth. If you have difficulty in creating original content it will give you a base and you can go from there or just keep asking questions until you have your product. I am testing it with a variety of discussions but still a newbie.
 
How does someone get to this AI stuff?
Do I just do a google search for ChatGBT then follow the link(s)? What other AI places are there?
 
I downloaded the app on my iPhone and registered. I also went to the website and logged in with the same login as on my phone. It’s free but is version 3.5 which was last updated in 2022. Version 4 is $ and uses updated information.
