First of all, Sex with a woman is far better than anything you have been doing to yourself in the shower. I would assume, it is possible, one-night stands are only slightly better.
The best sex comes when each partner attempts to provide their counterpart with a better experience than they receive. The best intimacy comes from absolute devotion to the other. That,,, takes time, honesty and effort.

It is, after all, best given as a gift.
