i have been wanting a set of chimes for the porch, but alot of the nice ones are so expensive. so i took some time thsi evening and made my own. enjoy!

Sweet, if you fill them half way up with sugar water they double as bug catchers.

added a 6th can, Old Mil pounder. needed to get one more can in to fill some space so it would actually jingle.

Yep. I have a couple more out in the barn for my next one. Found a real metal Cadillac one along the interstate this spring. You need real metal ones for the strengh.

i have a couple that would work quite dandy. one from a mid to late 80s olds 88 and one from a mid to late 80s olds cutlass

Find an old tube gate for the tubes and cut some 3 and 4 ft. lengths from them with a sawzall or hacksaw. You can use wire or chain like i did. You need something with some weight for the dinger. 1/2 inch steel cut round about 6 in. diameter is good. The bottom hubcap is what catches the wind and moves the dinger.
