Flail mower questions

I've not used one. I considered buying one many years ago, looked at them. At the time I had little New Holland TC24, and a big Oliver. The Oliver was only 2wd and the slope along the road was a no go zone for side cutting with the Oliver but the little New Holland could manage it. Then when I looked at putting a flail mower on it it really looked like a bad idea.
That TC24 is a lot heavier than a Kubota BX23 and somewhat larger. I really don't think the sub-compact Kubota is up to the task. Maybe if the land is flat? I'd be worried about stability if the side of the road slopes, I'd also be worried about PTO HP to run that mower. You may want to talk to your dealer, explain what you need to do.
Have you considered a sickle bar mower? Lighter weight and I think lower power requirement per length of cut.

I'm worried about rocks and debris on the sickle bar road is mostly flat not off camber but berms on the side that the bar would run through that the flail roller would that follow without a problem.
This is the one I'm dreaming of 48 inch id have to add 2nd set of hydraulics but I can tap the back hoe lines for that.

How much does it weight? What can your 3pt lift at 3' behind the ball eyes?
What are the PTO HP requirements for the mower? You have, if I recall correctly from my old memory, maybe 16/17 PTO HP?
No clue how Alibaba works so I have no insight.

If you buy the sickle bar, please send a review. I have the Titan offset flail but not like the one you posted. I wish I had that one. I have the remotes for it too. I've purchased a few things from Titan and have always been satisfied. I'm running a 55HP Kioti so it can handle most things.

So just curious, what did you end up doing?
I have to say the Samurai Cutter that Doc posted a link to is really appealing. As I cut back a bunch of growth along the roadway, and used a Stihl trimmer with an extension bar, I have to say that the Samurai could have done the job better, faster and reached higher than I can with the hand held too. And it would the ground level work easier too!

Nothing yet I'm leaning to the sycle type but I have to add hydraulics for it and id like to make integral to the loader control valve i have to find if i can add a 3rd function there i like the idea of not taking backhoe off to cut
As I am gearing up for collecting social security and reducing my insurance costs, I'm also looking at all the money I will be saving and the Samurai looks like a possible future purchase for me given that I'll be getting "gubmint money" soon.
The Samurai sickle bar cutter is not high on my "need" list but it would be pretty darn handy. I've wanted a sickle bar mower for 20 years, and often considered getting a used one because it would only be used a couple days a year. But the Samurai sickle bar cutter, mounted to the front end loader, that would be far more useful. I have more than enough hydraulic capacity, my tractor has extra hose connectors for auxiliary hydraulics, so I'd just need long enough hoses and I'd be golden.
