Camping/canoe trips in Northern Ontario

Rather than post this in the winter camping thread, I figured I'd start another thread just for this rather than hyjack another post. As mentioned in the other post, I was part of a highschool program called "outers". This prgram started back in 1968 and is still going strong though they don't do winter trips anymore. Here's a link to a website I just found with lots of pics and trip descriptions that were done recently.

I hate seeing stuff like this thread. . . all I have is a little creek behind the house and its not very scenic.

But as much as I hate seeing, I sure wish I was there experiencing it :thumb:

Wish we had something like that around here!

Take a trip out to Escalante, Utah. The Escalante river runs on the outskirts of town with the same name. If the river has a decent flow, the scenery is breathtaking (no big rapids to worry about). With that Dodge of yours though, you might also want to try the hole in the rock road (outside of Escalante as well). Nice off road trip with scenery to Lake Powell.

Not to mention the drive on route 12.
