….. looking great... love the ''mock'' run.... '' working smarter, not harder''... good technique for checking leaks, fine tuning, etc... one of my favorite methods when reassembling, saves a lot of time...

Thanks, I have the battery box and mount, I guess it goes next to the hydraulic reservoir?
….. fuel tanks are always a challenge …. you can spend a lot of time cleaning ,.. blasting, the 'ol '' marvel mystery oil & marbles ''trick,.. etc... to find out … I've got to reskin it …. ''nothing ventured, nothing gained'' ….
Fuel tank mostly done, just have to attach mounting angles and a drain plug boss, something the original tank could have used ? this project took longer than expected as I ran out of argon and work has been busy this week. I hope to get the tank on the cat tomorrow after slosh and painting. Then steering cylinder overhaul (leaking) and then back to cab work.
Yeah, great question. after much thought I decided I will use POR's tank sealer, I've had good luck with it when I follow the directions - marine clean first, then metal prep then the sealer.
I don't really want to, but I know the tank will be half empty at best and up here in the humid northwest, it will rust quickly, especially since it's mild steel and was welded on.
Ideas or tips?

Just curious why not aluminum?
I’ve done quite a few poly tanks, but yours was more size specific

Aluminum tanks can have problems too. I welded up numerous holes in a world famous freighter.
