Andy Griffith show

Never thought to post this until I saw this section.
Someone help me out here.
Was Andy's wife ever on an episode, did they talk about her ever, what was her story???

If I remember correctly, she was a CIA agent currently out of the country in North Africa. I think she was not allowed in Mayberry because she threatened to kill the dry cleaner when they got the starch wrong on Andy's uniform. I also think she was Barney's sister, and got all the looks as well as the brains in the family.

Don't forget the one at the drugstore.( the oldest daughter from Father Knows Best)

OK, that's it. You've spent far too much time in the north woods Pix!!! :yum:

And don't forget Charlene Darling. After all, they darn near ta got hitched a coupla times.

Wasn't Otis supposed to be married?
We never saw his wife!
Hmmmmmmm maybe something strange was going on in Mayberry in that there jail:4_11_9:

We got to meet Otis' wife in the episode where his brother was coming to town and Otis had told him he was a deputy.

OK, I've been quiet long enough. If y'all remember this, you missed the 1960's.
Next, you'll be talking about "Father Knows Best" and "Leave it to Beaver".

What were some of your favorite episodes of Andy?
Mine; Aunt Bee's pickles.... the one where Opie killed the mother bird with a sling shot, the one where Barney bought the lemon off that "sweet little old lady" lol

What about the one where aunt Bee went out of town for a few days. Andy and Opie made a big mess in the house, then cleaned up so B wouldn't be upset then thought well if the house was clean she wouldn't feel needed to they messed up the house again. While Andy and Opie was gone getting Bee from the bus depot Clara came in and cleaned up. Well when Andy and Opie came home they staller B from coming in the house while Opie made the mess again.

Clara :yum: :yum: asked B if the house was clean when she got home and B :yum: goes it was never such a mess. Well Clara was upset and B was happy as she felt needed.

Well that is what I remember of it.

murph

^^ that was a good one also.
How about the one where the traveling medicine man comes to town selling his Indian Elixor- and Aunt Bee and all the gals get blasted playing the piano and singing? LOL!!

I kind of remember that one. It was funny. I always liked the times Barney locked himself in jail.

I liked the one where Barney starts handing out tickets for people doing U-turns, then once Gomer finds out he can actually do a citizen's arrest- he goes around shouting CITIZEN'S ARREYUST! CITIZEN's ARREYUST!!!
LMAO!!
God I am having way too much fun in this thread, can ya tell? :applause: :)

About forty minutes north of me.

About three weeks ago got to meet the actress who played Barnie's girlfriend (Thelma Lou) in the series. She came down to a local vinyard's new restaruant just up the road from our house. Nice lady. Just moved to Mount Airy last year from LA.

Everybody makes fun of Barney, and rightfully so. Even Andy trusted him with only one bullet but does anybody remember the episode where Barney had to to qualify and he shot a perfect score on the state qualifications?

I don't recall that one. Did Andy shoot as well? That would be funny if he outshot Andy. hahahaha

I don't remember that episode either. I did love the episode where the civil service issued new requirements and Barney wore a huge chain around his neck, under his shirt, in order to meet the minimum weight requirement.
