What are you doing today, II

..... everyone on here has known this for years.
I almost asked if there was a thread that explained it already.

..... Late to the party, ... story of my life.

I had an Aunt that lived in California named Laura-Lee..... I don't actually know how it was spelled. I only met her once, when I was 9 years old. (She may have spelled it the same?)

Thanks for the enlightenment.

My personal friends either call me Lollie, Lora or even have a cousin who calls me Lulu and has for years.
All apply, just like Robert, Bob or Bobbie.
Variables of the same.

You're welcome Donkey Hodee.

I'm going to head out for the night and watch some episodes from Peter Santenello.

Love watching his travel adventures to lots of places.
I'm about 4 months or so behind.

Going to my local Community Center to get a form to get a badge for the 24/7 fitness center as I have membership which I have all access which includes tennis center as I play tennis (taking lesson right now) and I can go to the 24/7 fitness center at my community center after hours of operations. I am thankful I got recently hired as I got hired in July and I am LOVING it. Pays really well to.

I made crab cakes in the air fryer (and a salad).
Something easy so I could eyeball the news 😋😅

Cleaning up the shop & main building and getting them ready for winter. Need to move all pumps, pressure washers, sprayers, chemicals... into the heated area but that heated area was full of "stuff" that accumulated over the summer.

I have a 16' 4x6" post in the ground so I can run electric to other buildings. It needs more concrete around the base. I texted the town road crew supervisor to see if they have any scrap double-wall plastic culvert laying around.

Within an hour, the town's dump truck pulls in with a 4' piece of culvert, perfect for my needs. Man, I love our little town. :)

Started feeling like crap yesterday around 2pm.
Today tried to make an appointment to get in to see my PCP who is actually a CNP, but couldn't.

Took myself to Henry County hospital urgent care to the walk-in and got right in.
I've got a feisty ear, nose and throat thing going on.
3 days of Bactrim DS should kick it.
Hopefully.

For shits and giggles, I agreed to a covid test.
Daddy DeWine is pushing covid jabs again per the Ohio Department of Health.
Sorry, Sir.. nope!

Robert Kennedy Jr is ending the mandate but I think it's going to be personal now the way it SHOULD be.

Had to clear the area we call the "Beer Garden" because the county objected to my Glastron 150 GT "Live or let Die" James Bond movie token boat now sitting in the driveway. The "beer Garden" is actually a paved side drive I always hoped would be a BBQ space for evening gatherings with friends. But for now, I am using it to store lumber for upcoming projects on the house. Cleared 15 feet of lumber behind the "building line" so we could move it back to legal storage space.

The problem was that my son left his BMW in the way so I couldn't use my truck to move the trailered boat. Crumpy and I could barely move it up the gravel drive into the storage space. After pushing and shoving failed to move the boat, I finally used a Block and tackle to pully it up the hill into the storage space.

Now I need a beer and a soak in the jetted hot tub.

Crumpy made Pizza. So, we will start there. Then the bath

Thankfully today's plans fell through as it involved me making 3 trips to the city as the kids bus was canceled due to no driver but they found one. So now I just have one trip for an appointment this afternoon. I also have to work on my fifth wheel flat deck trailer getting it ready for a hauling job tomorrow. My physiotherapist has a sailboat he just hauled out of the water for the winter and wants to haul the mast to a body shop to get painted. The trailer is 30ft. The mast is 36ft.

So the lovely Mrs Bob and her sister and Kobe were in the yard, they wanted to set up a tent. Instead of setting it up they decided it would be fun to throw the tent poles, apparently all of them were involved in the action. Remember that Kobe is 5? Well Kobe hurls a tent pole at Aunt Amie and it goes right through her upper lip.

Other than me, and every other male human of legal age, who would have guessed that would have happened? Sometimes I wonder how people dress themselves every morning.

I hit the ground running this morning as I was headed to the city at 8am to haul a sailboat mast(details on that in my fifth wheel demo thread). I was home by 10:30 and removed the racks I had installed on the trailer then installed a new battery in the sxs. Then I wrapped up the 8x10 hot tub enclosure with tarps for the winter. I use it all winter. Even with just tarps, it retains the heat enough to make it comfortable down to minus twenty. I then emptied my cargo trailer from last weekend. I decided to fire up the plow truck and grade the driveway to smooth it out before winter.
I haven't received my marching orders yet from upper management but I imagine she'll have something for me to do when she gets home from the city.

We spent the day trying to get to the marina where I have two sailboats. One in the slip and the newer one on the hard. It was raing so hard I could not see the Highway even at 50 MPH. So after two hours of intense driving, knowing the rain would actually get worse when we arrived, We called the marina and bailed out.

The purpose of the trip was to sell the boats, turn them over to the marina, as we are giving up sailing. Now that we are retired, we did look forward to more time aboard. However, it simply costs too much on our retirement income. I still have two motorboats. However, they are on trailers parked at Hippie Ridge. So hopefully some water-sport time remains in our future.

This storm is intense. We scurried back home on a more northern route and escaped much of the rain until we got to St. Louis where it has now arrived. Tough trip both ways, I need a nap.

Finished the week out in the field, have a few days next week in the shop to finish some guarding while my son ties up some loose ends in the field, by the end of next week or sooner, I’m all done.

The bike in your avatar kind'a resembles the dirt bike that my Rebel's engine came from. I paid $125.00 for the Rebel rolling chassis, and I got the dirt bike for free. Chinese-made 250 4-stroke. VERY high compression..... so much compression that I can't "push start" it, the rear tire just skids.

Your avatar is the bike you're working on? I left all the plastic off my bike..... it looks like that's not really an option for you.

Good that you got the carb figured out.

Chicago's Griffin Museum of Science & Industry with Kobe . . . then to Melen's and a wonderful Chinatown meal for my birthday celebration. 2 phone calls with Dasha, as today is both my birthday and her birthday. 41 years apart. She 24, me 65. We normally try to get together for "our" birthday (or at least close to the date) but fate this year would not cooperate. Gifts were sent back and forth, and all arrived on time.
